REESE BENNETT LOVED HER life. She was on the swim team, had two best friends, and a boyfriend she loved. Or, at least, she almost loved him. Love or not, she was sixteen and having the time of her life.
Until her father tells her that they would be moving from Miami to a small, rainy town in Washington for his work called Forks. At first, Reese was in shock, not really processing the information at all. Once it hit her, however, all she could do was cry and yell. She would be losing everything. Everything– and everyone– she ever knew would no longer be a part of her life. Instead, she would be forced to live in a boring old town that never saw the sun (aka, Reese's best friend).
Within a couple of weeks, Reese's new life in Forks began, against her will. Her parents were distraught with how hard she was taking it, especially since her younger brother seemed to be doing so well, like he'd hardly missed a beat.
Forks seems utterly hopeless for Reese. Until her partner in Economics moves away and she has to sit with Alice Cullen, a mysterious, whimsical girl with a pixie cut.

This fic is of course an alternate universe, meaning it diverts from canon. It takes place in 2024; Edward does NOT exist in this story (Jasper and Bella are a couple); Renesmee still exists, except she is Bella and Jasper's, and she is mated to Seth Clearwater. Since Renesmee is not Edward's daughter, she's not going to look like Mackenzie Foy, so I'm imagining Hannah Dodd as her, but feel free to imagine Renesmee to look like whoever you want! I just think Hannah looks like a nice blend of Bella and Jazz.
