I'm sitting on a bench at the train station because i'm moving to my uni dorm in New York from Boston. On Monday i'm starting school at New York University. I'm nervous about going to a new school but i'm also excited. Fall just started and it's already cold in the morning. I came here 20 minutes early so i wouldn't miss my train, but now i have to wait here for 20 minutes in the cold. I can't wait to be in the train so i'm warm again, but at the same time i'm afraid since i'm leaving home and everything will be different. I'm listening to an unreleased song by Gracie Abrams called "Abby" on my wired earphones and i just realised that i won't be seeing my best friend every day or every week and it made me want to cry.

I'm already on the train and it's leaving so there's no way back now. But on the bright side it's half empty so at least i don't have to sit next to anyone. I look out the window and i notice that it's raining.Of course i forgot my umbrella so i really hope it won't rain in New York when i get there. I should've listened to my mom since she said it would probably rain. I'll be on my own now so i'll have to check the weather myself. I hear a notification on my phone so i check who it is. It's my little brother checking if i'm ok. Well he's not really little anymore, he's only 2 years younger, but he's still my little brother.

I open my notebook and write down some lyrics that came to my mind. I put my wired earphones back on and listen to "Welcome To New York" by Taylor Swift.

I just got out of the train and i'm in the middle of New York, alone while it's raining and i have no idea how to get to my dorm. Lucky me. But at least i'm on time. I see a sign to the metro so i follow the people going in that direction.

I'm in the metro now and i should be at the next station in about 5 minutes. As i look around i see some interesting and strange looking people. I'm tired from the journey and i want to be in my dorm in my new bed. I'm getting really hungry and thirsty now and i've drank all my water.I feel like this metro is taking for evermore.

I'm walking into the building now. I see an older lady sitting behind a desk so i go up to her. „Hello." she says. „Good morning." „Name?" she asks me. „Lacy Williams ma'am. " „405." she hands me the keys. „Thanks."
