It's the first day back at High Hopes highschool. The summer has past and it's September. I'm happy to be back, I mean, I missed school actually. My name is Willow Keller. Since the start of the summer break I got my first boyfriend, Elijah Everhart. Elijah is actually the typical popular bad boy from the movies you see. With a motorcycle, lots of friends, and a lot of girls around him. I'm not a jealous person. At least I never was. I walked to school as usual and when I walked into school I go to the library to get my school books for this year. When I'm looking I feel a pair of strong arms around my waist.
"Elijah!" I laugh as I say his name.
"Hey princess. Looking at books as usual?" Elijah says in a soft but deep voice.
"Mhm. You know I love books."
"More than me?" There is a teasing tone in his voice.
I laugh. "I honestly don't know. I do love you very much."
"I love you too, darling."
"Wanna walk to class together?"
I notice him hesitating. "I... I already told my boys I would be walking with them... Sorry darling."
"It's okay." I pause. "I'll see you after class."
"Yeah." Elijah walks away before I can say bye.
I walk to class. I have math. As usual now I think about Elijah like everyday of the summer.
At lunch I try to find Elijah, but I can't find him. I decide to message him.
,,Hey babe, I can't find you... Where are you?,,
After school I go home upset. Elijah didn't even read my message. When I come home I immediately go to my room. I make my homework and I read some. At dinner I don't talk much. My mom notices it.
"Sweetie, are you alright?" She asks in a concern tone.
My head snaps up from my plate. "Yeah. Yeah, I'm fine."
My brother, Jay, comes into the conversation out of nowhere. "Willow is always quiet. She's probably thinking about books or studies."
"Piss off, Jay." I say in an annoyed tone.
"Ohhh. Attitude." Jay says teasing. "Are you on your period or something?"
"No, just leave me alone."
After dinner I disappear into my room. I fall asleep on my bed with my face on my book I was reading.
