That girl is a tornado

That girl is a tornado. A whirlwind. A complete and utter mess.

The likelihood of Jamie North being labeled as such, was just as probable as seeing a twister waltz right down Tornado Alley. With an aptitude for trouble, and brain too big for her head, that's just was she was– a disaster, a force of nature with a destructive path a mile wide. Everyone who saw her, knew: that's Richard North's girl, a true EF5.

The antics started small– spilling Coolaid on her bedroom carpet, crashing her bike into the mayor's brand new Ford Mustang, riding around in her daddy's pickup with her head out the window and a bottle of Jack in the passenger seat– until they snowballed into chaos. Jamie soon grew out of being able to chalk up her mistakes as childhood error. Still, none were the wiser when the walking-talking-catastrophe herself shocked her small Texas hometown with a PhD in meteorology– and by running off with her college boyfriend to go storm-chasing.

Two years later. Everyone expected her dead, if not knocked up first, swallowed up by the very tornadoes she hunted– not headlining the evening news with her scientific research and an apparent death wish.

However, even tornados die out, and storms run out of rain. First there was the crash: her daddy's passing– then the after-burn; the world got to see what a real mess Jamie North could be.

Now, at twenty-seven, her dreams are closer to a dust-cloud than the great cyclone that that they once were. Relationship-less, isolated in Texas, and out of the game, the last thing Jamie wants to do is start chasing again–especially after the death of her father. However, it takes less than a few opposing winds to start a twister, and just an ex-boyfriend with a pickup-truck to get the ball rolling again.

After all, if the conditions are right, there's always going to be another storm.
