Real Life
Delaney sat down in her recording studio space, her notebook in front of her. After getting home from the hangout with Tom, something was in her head. She just wasn't sure what yet.
Honestly, it didn't feel real. She still remembered everything that he had said to her. The fact that he was so willing to be in her music video, it was still so surprising to her. Because of his blossoming career. Most people would be afraid of being friends of someone like her but he wasn't. She just felt like there was something between them. Which didn't happen a lot. The last major relationship that she had, her ex Harry Styles, had all started because their labels wanted them to be friends. But not him. He had no ulterior motive.
Smiling to herself, she had thought about what he said to her last night: You are beautiful and funny and smart. Like nothing I've ever seen.
Despite how her and Harry started, she had loved him but because of how quick he had moved on, she was scared to fall for the Brit. She didn't want to fall hard again and be left in the dust when he got bored of her. Just like everyone did.
She took a deep breath and grabbed her guitar. She always wrote her music with her guitar in her lap. If she was having trouble coming up with words, she would strum and hum and the words would eventually come to her.
After about sixteen minutes, she finally had the end of the song. She took another deep breath before singing it full out. She always had to do this before calling her music producer and scheduling a time to actually record the song.

As she finished singing the song, a smile came on her face. She just knew that this song was perfect. And that it was ready to be recorded and released.
