"You're bound to meet unexpected situations in life. Even if you use an umbrella, you'll end up getting drenched. Just put your hands up and welcome the rain."

...

Jeon Jungkook was desperate for the first time in his life, and it was for a woman.

The previous night’s encounter with Yoon Ah-ra had left an indelible mark on him, stirring emotions he had long kept under tight control.

The next day at JK Enterprises, his employees noticed an unusual shift in their boss’s demeanor.

The typically focused and intimidating Jungkook was uncharacteristically distracted, his mind drifting away from the stacks of reports and urgent emails.

In the glass-walled office high above Seoul, Jungkook found himself daydreaming about the woman who had captivated him so completely.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the city, Ah-ra was out on a date with her boyfriend, Juhung.

They had met at a party a few weeks back, and he had since become an important part of her (just his imagination).

Juhung, an influencer known for his charismatic online presence, was strikingly handsome with his dark black hair, piercing black eyes, and a chiseled jawline that seemed to have been sculpted by the gods.

They sat in a cozy café, the warm ambiance wrapping around them like a soft blanket.

Juhung reached across the table to take Ah-ra’s hand, his eyes locked onto hers.

“Ah-ra, you seem distracted today. Is everything alright?” he asked, his voice gentle and concerned.

She smiled, though it didn’t quite reach her eyes. “I’m fine, Juhung. Just a lot on my mind lately.”

Juhung squeezed her hand, his touch reassuring. “You know you can talk to me about anything, right? I’m here for you.”

Ah-ra nodded, appreciating his support but feeling a sense of unease she couldn’t quite place. “I know, and I appreciate it. Maybe it’s just all the attention from the party last night. It was overwhelming.”

Juhung chuckled softly, his eyes crinkling at the corners. “You stole the show, as always. How could anyone not be captivated by you?”

His words were meant to comfort her, but Ah-ra’s thoughts drifted back to the intense gaze of Jeon Jungkook.

She couldn’t shake the feeling that her life was on the verge of an unexpected turn, one that might complicate everything she thought she knew.

Back at JK Enterprises, Jungkook stood by the floor-to-ceiling windows, staring out at the city below.

His mind was a whirlwind of thoughts about Ah-ra. For the first time in his life, he felt desperate, and it was a feeling he neither welcomed nor understood. But one thing was clear—he needed to see her again, no matter the cost.
