Chapter - 1
Here we go,Happy reading 🤍
5:30 in the morning It was raining drizzling , giving the streets a shimmering shine, and the soft drops dancing on the leaves created a lullaby-like symphony of nature. A gentle tone of grey pervaded the sky.A man strolled out to the balcony in the middle of the refreshing, chilly air that had a trace of petrichor. He closed his eyes and inhaled deeply as the raindrops softly brushed his face. Feeling the light touch, he smiled softly as a lone tear escapes from his eye, he quickly wiped that off and went inside.
[Inside the room]
Crying?
Tears do not cure or assist. It just causes unnecessary symptoms like migraines, dark circles, puffy eyes, and headaches. It can also irritate the nose, throat, and eyes, even more . I guess it might also have some positive benefits, but I tend to overthink things, so yeah, that's the reason I prevent myself from shredding unnecessary tears.
The day I realized I had to take care of my six-year-old brother and my father, who had lost his emotions after that incident, was the day I stopped crying. The responsibilities were automatically transferred to me. I vividly recall the times when my father would cry silently while sitting alone in the room, and my brother would ask about our mother. I made the decision that day to stop trying to cry because it would just make me sad, yet sometimes these foolish tears still flow without my permission.
The man was deep in his thoughts when a sound interrupted him. His cell phone was ringing, and he picked it up."Hello?
"Hello, Mr Tiwari?" He questioned, confused by the lack of response from the other side.
"Mr Sharma, it's already 6 a.m.; where are you?.You were supposed to be here at 6."A anxious voice suddenly appeared.
Hearing that, Vedant rubbed his temples as he saw the time on the wall clock, and said, "Mr Tiwari, I am heading there" He was ready to end the conversation when Mr Tiwari spoke out with a sense of urgency in his voice.
"Sir, we can't afford to be late; we had to be at the airport at 7 a.m., and you had to be at firm before that.
He took an deep breath and forced himself to say, "Cut the call; only then will I be able to go there," but all he heard was a beep.
"Gajab insaan hai," he remarked sarcastically, looking at the caller id.
After that, he threw the phone onto the bed and hurried to the washroom.

Vedant's POV
After showering, I went outside with a towel wrapped around my waist
"I need to hurry now otherwise that tiwari will eat my head out"It was the fastest shower I've ever had, lasting 1.5 minutes.
But now the question what should I wear, formal? As I had to go at work, although I am more comfortable in casual when traveling.
Let's just go with formal, but with or without a coat?"With a coat, it'll be fine," I murmured myself after some thought. With that, I effectively wasted five minutes.
I signed and walked inside the closet. Just to get confused again, what color shirt should I choose? "Grey? Nah, it's too dull; Dark bule?, Nah it's too bright". "Should I ask Dad?.No, he will scold me."
"White shirt and black trouser looks fine" after getting all set I went out after taking all the essential things.
I walked downstairs while wearing watch."I should inform dad before leaving, he must be in the garden, thinking this I proceeded towards the garden, where he was strolling around while reading the newspaper. A smile automatically made its way on my lips.
"Papa" I called
["Dad"]
He turned facing him, I went towards him; touched his feet and wished him, good morning, he smiled ,patted my cheek and wished back. Then he placed the newspaper on the table and said " Let's go, have breakfast"
"Actually papa, I am leaving for Delhi; I told you yesterday""Yeah, I remember but firstly have breakfast than only you can leave" he said and started walking away.
"I am getting late papa, its already 6:15; I'll eat, promise. I said walking behind him.
He signed and asked"when will you come back"
"Maybe by night" I replied
"Okay, call me after you reach" he said and walked away.
I just nod and walked outside.Just then a voice called me
"Bhai"
[Brother]
I looked here and there but there was no one, just then the voice called again.
"Bhai, ider chhat per"
[Brother, here on the roof]
Hearing that I slightly rose my head, there he was Atharv, my younger brother standing waving towards me. I waved back, just then he placed his palm on his lips and gave me a flying kiss; this boy, he still behaves like a kid. I just chuckled and shook my head.
