It was a quiet day in the enchanted woods with the only sound can be heard was footsteps along with twigs snapping often as they took a step. A ragged figure carrying a bag over their walked through these woods many times like the back of her hands. She stopped to look around her surrounds in case anyone else was close. They know that people come here for hikes or camping from the encounters when they come to her side of the enchanted woods. Sure it didnt belong to anyone but this was her home. Once it was clear they walked down to a old abandoned cottage. This cottage has been here for long as it was owned by an old seamstress. Walking through the door seeing the place got good enough furniture aside the thick layers of dust with a mold. They pulled down their hood shaking out their long wavy brown hair showing off her light tan skin from being out hunting for food that she can salvage from the woods or from the trash. Dont judge her. She has her reasons. She went to the kitchen seeing a very huge wolf just waking up shaking her black fur. The girl rubbed her head with one head while taking off her bag to pull out a plastic with a big fish she caught. "Come on. We have been walking all day. Lets go back." Said a voice outside near the front. The figure got on all fours crawling to the front window to see two teenagers about her age standing not far from where she is. "I just want to see this." Said a boy with light brown hair looking at the cottage. "Ben. Its old and i doubt anyone would live in there." Said a girl with pink and blue colored outfit. "Audrey. I wont be long. Come with me to check it out." Said Ben walking over. "But Benny Boo. Ahhhhh. Wait for me." Said Audrey rushing over after a bee flew too close to her. They went to look through the dirty window seeing the furniture but nothing else. Ben hummed before trying the door seeing it opened easily walking in while Audrey took some pictures and selfies on her phone. He walked to the living room seeing a rotting table in front of a dusty moldy couch making his way to the kitchen.

"Ben? Oh whats that smell?" Said Audrey walking into the kitchen. She looked around then almost gagged finding the smell when Ben went over to it but she dragged him back. "Ew. Dont touch it." Said Audrey. "Audrey if someone did live here they wouldnt have left this fresh fish on the counter in a plastic bag." Said Ben looking at her. He then heard a soft creak of the floorboards upstairs looking up making Audrey worried. "Can we go?" Said Audrey. Ben didnt listen walking to the stairs to see a shadow on the wall. "Hello? Is this your home? We're sorry if we are intruding. Im Ben and down here is my girlfriend Audrey. Can you come down to talk?" Said Ben seeing the shadow raise their arm to snap their fingers. He looked confused until Audrey faintly squeak hearing a growl from the dark chimney. Audrey watched the glowing eyes of the wolf slowly stalking out baring their teeth not breaking contact with her. "Ben." Said Audrey. Ben ran over causing the wolf bark and snap her jaws at them following them out the front door quickly leaving. Ben turned back once they went into the woods far away from the cottage where it was barely been through the branches. He watched a small figure of the girl standing by the open door with the wolf. "Ben. Come on." Said Audrey grabbing his hand to make him look at her. "Sorry. Lets get going." Said Ben looking to see the girl and wolf gone with the door closed. He and Audrey went back to their school in Auradon going their separate ways. Ben went to his father, King Beast or Adam who was in his office with a woman who everyone knows her by fairy godmother. "Hope im not interrupting. Can i talk to you both about something?" Said Ben. "No. Go on." Said King Adam. "When me and Audrey went out on our walk in the Enchanted Forest going further than we thought where i saw a cottage. It looked be abandoned for years from how nature was barely covering it. I decided to get a look inside with Audrey following me and found everything was left to rot or covered in filth. I didnt think much until i found a plastic bag of fresh fish." Said Ben as the two adults listened carefully. He continued about where he saw the shadow on the wall, a wolf chasing them out, and the girl.

"As King i should probably have a look about this since no one actually lives in the Enchanted Forest anymore." Said King Adam. "Were any of you hurt?" Said Fairy Godmother. "No one was hurt. She just scared us and when i looked at her. It seemed like she practically lived there her whole life from the smudges of dirt on her." Said Ben. "If she wants to be alone then thats up to her but I can have someone check on her if you want Ben." said King Adam. "No. You dont know where to look and that wolf she had. It was big as dad when he was cursed." said Ben. "If i can save your mother from a pack of wolves then i can handle this one." said King Adam. "Violence is not the solution. If she trained that wolf then we most do this approach calmly respectfully since you two did trespass." said Fairy Godmother. "Yeah and i might add in an apology." Said Ben. "We can go to the Enchanted Woods later this week." said King Adam. "I know. I know. I need to think about my first order of business as future King." said Ben. "Thats right. Im sure that the girl can wait." said King Adam. Ben walked out of the office going to his private dorm to his desk going to his desk with map of United States of Auradon, the other kingdoms, including the Isle of the Lost. He had so many ideas for the people waiting to make a difference then thought about that girl. He had so many questions about her. "I'm gonna be crazy for this." Ben said to himself going to his closet. After hours he went back before it was dark going through the Enchanted Woods the same way and saw the girl by the cottage near a homemade bonfire without the wolf. "What are you doing back?" said the girl looking at Ben through the shadows of the forest where Ben was hiding. "I'm here to apologize for what happened earlier." said Ben walking over raising his hands up. He stopped a few feet from her making her eye him carefully gesturing a spot across from her. "I was having a normal date with my girlfriend Audrey and noticed your home. I was dumb to go in. I'm sorry if i upset you just never expected anyone to live in a place like yours." said Ben.

"Accepted and you dont need to look for Nyx. Shes out with her pack but youre not just here to apologize. Aren't you?" said the girl looking at the fire. "I just want to know about you." said Ben. "You are my people too and want to do everything i can to help." he says. "What makes you any different than the ones Ive met?" said the girl. "What do you mean?" said Ben. "Just because i lived here doesnt man i dont go around. I know who you and your family are. Royals and others who are good hearted and never once think about what happens or what becomes of their enemies." said the girl. "Which is why im here with you. You see im about to become the new King of Auradon next month and i have getting so many ideas to make a difference. But today seeing you and what you just told me. Got me an idea. How about you come to Auradon Prep with me?" said Ben. "Why? im a nobody." said the girl. "Youre moe than that. I know you feel tired of being alone. Just come over and let you think about it?" said Ben. "You really arent quitter arent you?" said the girl. "Is it a yes?" said Ben. "ill think about it." said the girl. "Great and can i get your name?" said Ben. "Its . . . Rosaline." said the girl. "Okay. I promise you that things will be different were everyone will appreciate." said Ben. "Or rip you apart like Nyx and her pack will to you do if you dont leave now." said Roseline. "Right. See you at Auradon or i will be coming back." said Ben getting up walking away. He headed back to his dorm seeing the security guards just stepping out of his room with his parents. "Where have you been?" said King Adam. "I can explain." said Ben looking at them. Back in the Enchanted Forest, Roseline petted Nyx by the fire enjoying the quite aside the crickets looking at the fireflies flying and looked down to grab her metal cup of herbal tea until her eyes spotted Bens backpack with a note. She took the folded note opening it with a neat handwriting with a number. 'I thought these would fit you and packed other accessories that you might want. Dont think of this as a bribe to go to Auradon Prep. I'm just doing this from the kindest to my heart to help as my parents raised me to do.' - Prince Ben of Auradon. 'Ps: Call me when you have made your decision.' It read as Roseline chuckled softly before pulling down her jacket sleeve to her elbow to show her tattoo that goes from her wrist down close to her inner elbow. "Oh Ben. You have no idea what you're getting yourself into." said Roseline smirking.
