Chapter Three: Whisper of the Unknown

Prince Ceres was not feeling well. He knew something was not right. He can tell that someone was watching him or something was following him. But he just didn't knew who or what.

He went for a walk but after some minute, he came back to his chamber. He went out for hunting but then again came back. Went to the meeting with his father but after seeing his friend fall asleep, he was in no mood. He did training on the training hall but all he got was distraction. His mind was not set. He felt like, something is there. Poking him. And for god swear, he heard his name being called.. everytime.

Even his friend could tell something was up.

"Ceres...are you.. okay?" The wolf prince asked after their sword training. The knights were dispersed into their own shelter. And only left was the two prince.

"I'm not sure. There's something going on I guess."

"Where? At your chamber? Your castle? King-"

"No. Something is wrong with me."

The wolf prince gave him a weird look before rolling his eyes. "How come you know that something's going wrong with you? Oh wait! Did an evil spirit cursed you in you butt that you stopped po-OWW!!"

Prince Desmond could tell that there is sure a red mark on his own butt. "Open your mouth again and you'll never be a fath-"

"Oh come on I was kidding!" Desmond all but whined. He was just making the mood light but guess it went other side. And he sealed his lips the rest of the ride to the castle.

"Ceres."

The prince turned to his friend.

"Whatever is going on your mind, don't hesitate to come forward." The look he was giving can tell that the wolf prince was not joking this time. It was an encouraging look he was giving. Many years have past since they knew each other. They were not just a friend but they treat each other like brothers.

"Don't worry. Good night pups."

"Good night big belly!"

Ceres turned to catch him but the other one was far away from the catch.

"I gave you a nice name!" He shouted.

The other one waved his hand and shouted back. "Then good night dragonfly!" And then like the speed of the light, the fellow guy was gone.

Ceres signed and was opening his door when he saw the guards. They were acting as of they didn't heard anything. He dismissed them and entered his own bed.

He took a warm bath and it relax his body. The warm water melted away all his worries he was having today.

"Ceres...."

He frown.

"Ceres..."

He tried to think of something else.

"My love...."

He opened his eyes and searched for the intruder of his mind. His grey eyes glowing. But he could find no one. Just him and the silence.

"Am I sick? No.. I'm perfectly fine." He got out of the tub, no longer mood for bathing.

He got dressed for the night and went to his warm cozy bed and closed his eyes.

***

"Ceres.."

He opened his eyes and was confused and alert. There were nothing else except for darkness.
