Y/N POV:

My alarm woke me up and I swear to god I almost threw my phone. I think I got like four and a half hours of sleep, what a joke. Anyways I forced myself up and out of bed, throwing on a grey hoodie and some tights, nothing fancy, it's school not the met gala. Brushed my teeth did the usual skincare routine blah blah blah, fixed my hair into a ponytail and then took a deep breath before opening my door. I honestly hate the mornings when mom drinks, I never know what state she'll be in, it's scary and unpredictable.

I tensed when I heard scuffles in the kitchen and made sure I held my small book bag close to my chest before slipping past my hungover mother stumbling and groaning in the kitchen. "Where you gone shweatheard" she grumbled and I just looked down avoiding her completely. "School see ya" I bolted out of the house not bothering to lock up. The second I was out of the house I grabbed my vape and sucked in a big breath holding it in until I couldn't anymore and sighed. My phone pinged and I furrowed my eyebrows, reading the text.

Aw slay she's trynna help. I was almost at school so pulling my assessment out and working on it was gonna be fun, yay almost and hour to go until school starts. I selfishly ignored her for a little bit just to get into school and away from people to my little secret spot. I got comfortable and pulled out my assessment, flipping through the pages landing on my work from last night.
