Derek paced around his loft, hearing his footsteps echoing around himself. "I take it you scared him off?" Peter's voice rang from upstairs, his footsteps were heard walking down the spiral staircase.

"Scared him? More like scarred him." Derek sighed, sitting on the edge of his bed placing his head in his hands. "I fucked up once again," he exhaustedly laughed. "want to sarcastically congratulate me?" he looks up to his uncle standing above him.

"No you didn't, not yet anyways. And also, no. I'm not always sarcastic you know, I only do it to piss you off." Peter laughs, placing a hand on his nephews shoulder.

Derek looks down to the floor trying to focus on something other than the fact his mate won't be safe either way. He looks up at his uncle again, "What do I do?" he asks, his voice cracking while his eyes did one thing his uncle thought he'd never see, they watered. He looked so broken, Peter wanted nothing more than to just fix his nephew now.

Derek wanted to go to Stiles and explain himself, to tell him everything but he couldn't. Not the way his wolf senses were acting up. "I can't control it, Peter. It's like they have a mind of their own. I got pissed off way too easy to be normal, and I should've been able to control how much pressure I applied to his wrists.. but I didn't." Derek explained.

"Alright, I'm not good with advice but I'm giving it my best shot." Peter laughed nervously, then started explaining what Derek had to do.

Scott was held above the ground by his neck, growling and clawing at the unfamiliar grip he had on his throat making it difficult to breath. Stiles was currently running through the woods, lost obviously, with a thin t-shirt that wasn't doing much for heat.

Nothing was following him so he slowed his pace down to a walk so he could catch his breath and run over what had just happened.

He and Scott were on their way to his house to clean up the mess they had left the day before, but before they pulled into the driveway Stiles' jeep was pushed onto it's side by something heavy and slid dowm the road before coming to a stop.

Scott's claws were out along with his glowing eyes, Stiles didn't make a sound sitting in his sideways jeep knowing Scott was making sure it wasn't the Alpha's after him. His friend pulled himself out of the damaged jeep to sit on top of it's side , he looked around widening his eyes and looked down at Stiles and mouthed 'run'.

Scott jumped out of the jeep and onto the creature standing in front of him growling, not to mention it was twice his size. Stiles saw it once and wiggled himself out of the seatbelt holding him, he was finally out of the car. He didn't turn back, running into the woods, knowing it was a life or death situation.

He sat leaned against a tree stump trying to regain some heat, it was the middle of January after all. He started shaking, making leaves lining the ground shake with him but at the second he didn't care. He was freezing, tired, and starting to hear things.

He could hear someone yelling his name (far away of course) but he was too weak and getting too tired to say anything. His eyes became heavy and the voice got louder and deeper. A deep voice he hadn't heard before, it was strange. He saw someone walking towards him but his vision was blurry and as they got closer they looked as if they were twice as big as a normal human being.

The person picked him up and threw him over their shoulder and then Stiles finally let sleep consume him.

Derek arrived at Stiles house noticing a car turned onto it's side farther down the street, he decided to look at it to see what had happened. He walked closer and noticed a piece of scrap metal that had fallen off was a certain color he'd seen before, it was strangely familiar.

He shook it off and walked closer, noticing a body laying near the vehicle. He ran over to find out it was Scott, and the car was a jeep and it was Stiles'. He checked the inside of the jeep, no Stiles only his red hoodie.

He shook Scott, he was beaten pretty bad and wasn't waking up. "Scott," he shouted several times trying to get the younger boy up. Then he growled as loud as he could, making Scott jerk himself off the ground and take a huge breath in.

"Scott?" Derek helped him sit up and take in a few breaths, "Where is Stiles?" he asked and all Scott could do was look towards the woods. "Dammit," Derek cursed. "Go find.. him. I'll heal.. and be fine." Scott breathed out and picked himself up slowly.

Derek didnt have to say anything, he grabbed Stiles' hoodie and ran towards the woods using all of his wolf senses. He had to find him, he couldn't let them kill his mate.

---

Soon he caught Stiles scent, he was close by. Derek tried to be as quiet as he could, he didn't want risk getting caught. He eased around a tree and saw a white t-shirt, with a shirtless pale brown haired boy laying beside it .

He looked around and made sure no one was close by, he couldn't see or hear anyone so he took his chance and ran over to Stiles, sitting on his knees. "Stiles," he shook him softly, "Stiles, get up." he tried sitting his sleeping body up, but something cut Derek's upper arm already leaving a small trail of blood falling slowly down his arm.

"Touch him again and you're both dead." Deucalion said, walking from behind a tree a few feet away towards Derek. "What do you want?" he asked, scared for his mates life. "A lot of things actually, but most I can't have, sadly." he faked a pouty face and laughed. Derek stood from sitting beside Stiles, watching the older man.

"You two are so cute, but sadly I need one of you." Deucalion said, "I'll let him go.. if you come with me willingly, no tricks, no games. And if you try anything I won't think twice about killing him."

Derek looked at Stiles, he couldn't let Deucalion take Stiles and kill him with no reason. He didn't need to know Derek was his mate, he could easily find someone else. "Alright," Derek looked at the older man and sighed, he pushed himself off the ground and turned to the older man.

"I'll go with you." his voice didn't shake or show any hint of fear but inside he was about to throw up.
