~Obanai pov~

Her heart shattered at those words, and she felt like she had been punched in the gut. She was speechless and heartbroken. Tears streaming down her face harder than before. She got up with obvious tears in her eyes. She tried her best to smile sweetly but her pain was evident. She whispered, lightly but loud enough for Iguro to hear.

Iguro was torn between being with her and his past. He hated seeing how upset she was but he knew he couldn't be with her. He let her go thinking surely she'll find someone way better than him

~Mitsuri pov~
I thought he'd like me... Genuinely like me... Who am I kidding. Only a bear, boar or cow would marry a girl like me. I have a weird hair colour, huge appetite and I'm way too strong. I was just hoping... Maybe...

Time skip to a few weeks later (hashira meeting)

Oyakata-sama : Mitsuri... Obanai... Kyojuro, Can you stay after the meeting? I would like to talk to the three of you.

The three of them wait as the other hashira's were dismissed

Oyakata-sama : I have a feeling that a lowermoon will attack at the Mugen Train this night. There are some odd disappearances of the workers for the newly opened Mugen Train. I would like you three to go there and dispose of the demon as soon as possible.

Kyojuro : But oyakata-sama, why should 3 hashiras go there when its only a lowermoon!

Oyakata-sama : I have a feeling it's not only a lowermoon. Mitsuri and Obanai will serve as back up im case anything happens. I chose the both of them because they seem to like spending time with each other. That is no problem, yes my children?

Kyojuro : None at all!
Mitsuri : Yep! What he said..!
Obanai : No

Oyakata-sama : That's good. You will leave as soon as possible. Thank you for your cooperation

The three hashira's were dismissed and were getting ready to go to Mugen train
