The Sturniolo triplets had always prided themselves on their unity. No matter what life threw at them, they faced it together. But sometimes, old wounds could resurface, threatening to pull them apart.
It was a typical Friday night, and the triplets were filming a Q&A video for their YouTube channel. The atmosphere was light-hearted, filled with laughter and playful banter. As they read through the questions, one in particular caught Nick's eye.
"Who was the bravest among you during your childhood?" Nick read aloud, a mischievous smile on his face.
Matt chuckled. "Definitely not Chris. Remember the time he got scared of that Halloween mask and locked himself in the bathroom?"
Chris's laughter faltered, a shadow passing over his face. "Yeah, hilarious," he mumbled, looking away.
Nick and Matt exchanged a quick, concerned glance. They had meant it as a joke, but Chris's reaction told them they had struck a nerve.
After the video, Chris quickly excused himself, heading to his room. Nick and Matt followed, worry etched on their faces.
"Chris, what's wrong?" Nick asked gently as they entered Chris's room.
Chris sat on the edge of his bed, his shoulders hunched. "It's nothing. Just... memories."
Matt sat beside him, placing a comforting hand on his back. "Talk to us, Chris. What memories?"
Chris took a deep breath, his voice trembling. "Do you guys remember when we were kids, and I used to get bullied? You two were always there to protect me, but... it still hurt. Those memories, they never really go away."
Nick's heart sank. "Chris, we're so sorry. We didn't realize..."
Chris shook his head, wiping away a tear. "It's not your fault. I just... I thought I was over it, but sometimes, it all comes back. The fear, the insecurity."
Matt hugged Chris tightly. "You're not that scared kid anymore, Chris. You're strong, and we're here for you."
Nick joined the hug, his voice firm. "We can't change the past, but we can help you with the present. You're never alone in this."
Chris nodded, his tears flowing freely now. "I know. It's just hard to let go sometimes."
Matt pulled back slightly, looking Chris in the eye. "We'll help you through this, just like we always have. And if you ever need to talk, we're here."
Nick added, "And we promise, no more jokes about the past. We didn't mean to hurt you."
Chris managed a small smile. "Thanks, guys. I appreciate it."
As they sat together, the bond between the brothers felt stronger than ever. They knew there would always be challenges and painful memories, but as long as they had each other, they could face anything. United by love and understanding, they were ready to move forward, leaving the echoes of the past behind.
