The Contract

Chapter 2

She is overreacting. I don't see the problem in getting married to me. Just look at me. Expect the fact that we hate each other I'm perfect husband material.

"You should talk to her." Anton tells me. We're still in his office. After Aurora left her brothers and sister had to know what she was so angry about. And when their father told them they threw a fit. Saying something about what happened to her years ago. I didn't really listen. I was thinking about if she would agree or not.

"Why should I?" I would talk to her but i think she should have some time alone. "You can convince her. After all this was-" "No. I'll talk to her." I walk out and head to her room.

I knock but i didn't get an answer. I knocked a few more times and there still wasn't an answer. I open the door only to find her on the ground.

Shit.
Be okay.

The second I saw her I ran to her. I kneel down next to her head and start shaking her by her shoulders. "Aurora, can you hear me?" I give her a little slap very gently not hurting her. Damn it.

I pick her up bridal style. Walking fast towards the living room. I see that everyone is there. "She fainted I think." I lay her down on the couch. Her sister and both brothers run towards her. Her sister, Emma i think, starts shaking her. "Tried that. Didn't work."

"Shit." Antonio says. I look at him confused. He turns to his mother. "It's happening again get the water." What the hell? "Where'd you find her?" He asks me. "In her room by the bed on her stomach.I knocked a few times and there wasn't an answer so i went in and found her on the floor. I tried waking her up. Shaking her. She didn't react." He looks at her with a concerned look.

"Ace go tell dad to come. Right now!" Ace nods and runs off to his dad's office. Their mom comes running with the things Antonio said for her to get.

You better wake up Aurora. 'Cause if you don't I'll wake you up and kill you myself.

He takes the water bottle and takes the cap off. Puts a little water on his hand and runs his hand over Abby's face.

Doesn't work.

Double shit.

The opened water bottle is tilted over her face and water is poured on her face. Getting her hair and the couch wet.

despierta.

despierta:wake up

She slowly starts opening her eyes.And i see those blue orbs again. "What happend?" She slowly sits up. Her mom gives her a bottle of water and she drinks a little.

"Is she okay?!" Anton comes running in. Looking concerned. He kneels in front of her. "I'm so sorry baby, I didn't want you to get the news like this. This is all because of me." He looks down at the white and black carpet.

"It's okay dad. It wasn't your fault that i fainted." "No, sweetheart I should have told you before." He looks at Aurora with an apocalyptic expression. Guilt flashing in his eyes.

"I said it wasn't your fault. So that means it wasn't." She stands up and everyone goes forward as for to grab her but she just hugs her father. He sighs in relief.

"You should rest." Antonio says.

"Xavier." I look at Anton. "Can you take her to her room? I have to talk to the kids." I nod and step closer to Aurora. I put my hand out and she rolls her eyes grabbing it. We start walking and i put my hand on her back to keep her balance.

Still walking through the big hallway. "You know i can walk by myself. I just fainted it was nothing." I look at her with a glare. "It was not nothing. Something's wrong with you and both you and your family know. I too would like to know as of me being your future husband."

She sighs. "I'll tell you when the time is right."
We get to her room i open the door with my free hand and walk her inside. Closing the door behind me. I sit down next to her on the bed. I look at her and take out the box from my pocket.

"What is that?" She goes to grab it but i pull my hand back. She backs away and i open the box revealing a silver engagement ring. "Is that.." She trails off and i just nod. I take the ring in my hand and look at it for a second. I see the engraved letters ' sólo de él ' on the inside.
sólo de él : only his

Only mine.

Stop it, Xavier.

"Your hand." I stretch out my free hand for her to give me hers. She slowly gives it to me and i slowly put the ring on her ring finger. "There's no backing down now, princesa."

"I know." She smiles. I know it's not a real one but it is what it is. She pulls back her hand just now realizing that it's still in mine. "I should go."
I stand up.

"No. I mean wait." I look at her as for her to continue. She nods towards where i was just seated. I sit back down. "Just so you know, no chance we're having sex." I nod.

"As if i wanted to have sex with you." She rolls her eyes. That's my job. I mentally slap myself for even thinking of that. "Should have gotten married to the Russian pervert."

"No." I say darkly. Why didn't i kill that fucker when i had the chance?

Aurora hums in response. I look at her. Those ocean blue eyes are gonna kill me one day.

Focus, Xavier.

"You still have to tell me why you fainted." I bring back the conversation. She shakes her head. "Another time." I nod even tho i want to know now.
