chapter 7

Aoi and Hhitoshi now just walking around the park. They played all sort of thing that being offered there. Hitoshi once got kick out of the playing booth because he is too good at the shooting game. The owner had no choice but to give him the biggest plushie so that Hitoshi will leave the booth alone. 

Hitoshi then give the plushie to Aoi beacuse she keep staring at it the whole time with shining in her eyes.Only gods know how fast Hitoshi heart beat when Aoi hug him with a big smile once he gave the plushie to her. she end up refusing to let the plushie go while walking around the theme park.

Suddenly Aoi phone rings

"who is it?" Hitoshi ask. Aoi show her phone showing Mayline is the one who calling her. As soon as she pick up the phone , her face change. As she listen to the phone she running to the parking lot while pulling Hitoshi with her.

"What happend Aoi?" Her action really make him panic.She ended the phone call ad say with a serious tone.

"I'll tell you what happend in the car.We need to go back to the clinic first.Fast" Hitoshi didn't ask more and get into the car He quickly drove away from theme park.

"Can you tell me what happend now that we need to go to your clinic this late?"

"Well , i have bad news and good news "

"Bad news first" he said.

"It's about your father. His condition worsen and need an immediate attention or else it will become life threatening" She try to reveal this news to him carefully and slowly. Hitoshi become panic immediately as he heard the news.

"OK , i know you are worried about your father but calm down , you are still driving."

"Yeah you are right. So what the good news is?" He is still panicking but what she said next does calm him a little.

"The good news is , I am on my last step to complete the cure for your father. Just give me a few more minute and your father can consume it safely."

Hearing the news , Hitoshi let out the breath that he hold , like some of the worried he had is gone a bit now.

The journey home is in silence , both of them are worried about his father condition. Mayline did call that his condition has gotten better a bit , but he still need the cure fast or else he will become unstable again. As soon as they arrive , Aoi rushed to the patient room . There is Mayline in the room keeping Hitoshi father condition in check.

"Mayline , keep his condition in check until I come back. I'll go and complete the cure now." She say seriously.

Hitosi was in distraught looking at his father condition , pale and almost like lifeless. Aoi cupped his face to make him look at her. He look so sad that almost in tears. The strong hero aura that make everyone feel safe can't be seen on his face at all. Right now , he just a normal child who worried about their parent .

"Calm down, Toshi...you need to stay strong. For you and your father. I promise I will save your father. So stay here and keep calm ok?" She said it in the most soothing voice she can make. Hitoshi nods weakly. She then quickly run to her lab to do what she need to do

Aoi only gone for a few minutes but to Hitoshi it was like hours.His father was in a very good condition before , he even cracked a joke during his last visit. Did the sickness suddenly decided to attack at full force this time? He didn't really have any knowledge related to this field so he can't say for sure what really happend A lot of thing was running in his head.

'What if father can't be save? Will he really fully recover after this? will he leave me like mom too?'

Each thought he has make him thinking about the worst out come of this situation.His thought got cut off short when someone slam the door open.

"Fuh...fuh....I did it..I did it! The cure is here!" Aoi come in panting ,  she run as quickly as she can once she complete the cure. In her a hand a small bottle with a clear liquid in it which Hitoshi assumed is the cure for his father sickness.

"Maylin , quick inject this"She said in a rushed tone seeing how bad the condition his father in. Pale , quick heartbeat and high blood pressure. Maylin was trying her best to stabilize his condition when Aoi was completing the cure. As soon as the cure was injected. The cure quickly taking its effect , his father complexion do look a bit better and heartbeat become normal too.

Seeing how quickly the cure work, Hitoshi can't help but giving Aoi a big hug with his face buried at her neck.

"Thank you....thank you so much...you don't know how thankful I am now.." Aoi just let him hug her. She caress his back slowly to sooth him a little. she know that he need it after what he just happend.Hitoshi finally let her go after a while.

"Feels better now?" He nod.

"Is there anything i can do to repay you? Anything,just tell me." Aoi want to reject at first because this is her job , it is what she need to do. But seeing how serious Hitoshi is , she know he would not back down until she give in.

"Hm...If you insist ,I will take the Picture with the Hero Psionix and a dinner together as the repayment. How's that?" She smile.

"Are you sure? Just that?" Aoi just nod while smiling at him. He can't believe it ,She just want a picture with him and a dinner as repayment for saving his father life? He will gladly do it for free if she ask for it though. He chuckle at it and nods.

"Alright, if you say so, But if you ever want anything , just tell me ok?"

"Its late now , let me drive you back home" He offer.

Aoi shake her head."No Its ok. Im staying her today. I still need to monitor your father condition." Before Hitoshi can say anything , she cut him first.

"Before you say anything, no, I'm not gonna stay up all night in the lab and i have my own room here to rest.And yes you need rest too for your patrol so you can go back and rest up. I will make sure the nurse here will take good care of your father." Hitoshi chuckle. She always know what he want to say.She know him to well despite its only a few months since their first meet.

"Alright...alright , if you say so Miss Doctor. I will go back and rest. But please do call me anytime if anything happen,."

And thank you again  , for everything. I mean it" with that he leave the clinic and head back to his house with a smile on his face.
