3rd person pov

"Yo, we're coming at you live from camp Wawanakwa, somewhere in Muskoka, Ontario. I'm your host, Chris McLean, dropping season one of the hottest new reality show on television, right now!" The middle aged man proudly states, looking right into the camera.
"Here's the deal- 24 campers have signed up to spend 8 weeks right here at this crummy old summer camp. They'll compete in challenges against each other, then have to face the judgement of their fellow campers. Every three days, one team will either win a reward or watch one of their team members walk down the dock of shame, take a ride on the loser boat- ha, ha,- and leave total drama Island for good." He continues, grinning.
"Their fate will be decided here, at the dramatic camp fire ceremonies where each week all but one camper will receive a marshmallow." Chris picks up one of the marshmallows and eats it.
"In the end, only one will be left standing and will be rewarded with cheesy tabloid fame and a small fortune- which, let's face it, they'll probably blow in a week. To survive, they'll have to battle black flies, grizzly bears, disgusting camp food and, each other." He continues to talk, introducing a grimy looking 'food' that raises its eyebrow and smirks at the audience.
"Every moment will be caught on one of the hundreds of cameras situated all over the camp. Who will crumble under the pressure? Find out here, right now, on Total. Drama. Island!"

"Welcome back to total drama Island," Chris smirks. "All right- it's time to meet our first 11 campers. We told them they'd all be staying at this five star resort so, if they seem a little t-od, that's probably why."

A white, mini yacht boat pulls up at the deck. After it zooms away, a girl with brown hair tied back in a ponytail begins to run over to Chris.
"Beth, what's up?!" He asks, trying to act friendly. Beth just lunges at him giving him a big hug.
"It's so incredulous to meet you!" She says because jumping down and examining him properly. "Wow... You're much shorter in real life."
Chris brushes off imaginary dirt from his shirt and tries to hide his displeasure.
"Uhhh, thanks."
Luckily, a second boat stops by, almost identical to the first, saving Chris from the awkward interaction. A tall, muscular guy with a white cap walks down the dock towards Chris and Beth.
"DJ!" The man calls out to the confused teen.
"Yo, Chris McLain!" He gives Chris a high five. "How's it going? Hey..." He looks around. "You sure you got the right place here? Where's the hot tub at?" DJ frowns a little.
Chris just makes a 'yo' motion with his fingers.
"Yo dawg, this is it- camp Wawanakwa!"
DJ just picks up his bags and walks away before muttering to himself.
"Hmm, looked a lot different on the application form."

Next the camera focuses on a pale girl with blue and black streaked hair, frustratedly trying to pick up her luggage.
"Hey, Gwen."
The girl turns her head towards Chris and walks forward. "You mean we're staying here?"
Chris smiles and points at her.
"No, you're staying here. My crib is an airstream with ac- that way." He motions in the opposite direction.
Gwen scowls. "I did not sign up for this." But Chris just holds up a stack of papers.
"Actually, you did."
Gwen takes the papers and rips them apart, throwing them into the water nearby.
"The great thing about lawyers is, they make lots of copies," Chris smiles and holds up another stack. Gwen turns her head and picks up her bags.
"I am not staying here." She begins to walk away before the man speaks again.
"Cool- I hope you can swim though, because your ride just left." The two of them turn to see Gwen's boat sailing away. She calls Chris a jerk before walking away.
