friendly reminder; note :
the y/n from Wicked Game will be named "Ichika" in this book. this is to avoid any confusion between the two female leads.

A month had passed and honestly, I was all worn out. My body is sore from overworking too much. Finally, I get to complete all the pending work and photoshoots. I've been working back to back and barely had enough rest. Honoka had stayed over at my place since she couldn't get to drop by her place that much.

I woke up a little later than usual and that's because I had no plans for the day. It's finally going to be an off day for me, for me to get the rest I deserve after a hectic month. I walked out of my room and the house was still quiet even though it was already past nine in the morning. I glanced at the guest's room and the door was still shut. Honoka must still be asleep. I made my way towards the kitchen to brew myself some coffee. The sound of the grinding machine filled the empty area and the smell of coffee beans spread all over the space.

"Why didn't you wake me up?" Honoka yawned while she clipped her hair up into a messy bun. She looked as exhausted as I was.

"I don't want to disturb you while you're asleep. You deserve a long sleep too" I responded and prepared two mugs of hot coffee; one for me and another one for Honoka. Honoka sat down on the bar stool and I handed her a mug, and she thanked me for it. I sat across from her at the kitchen island, cooling off the hot coffee before taking sips.

"Honoka, what are the plans for next month?" I asked as I placed the mug back on the marble surface, eyes up to the lady seated opposite of me. Honoka pulled her phone from her pajama's pocket and clicked on the emails.

"I've received emails from a few brands and they request you to model up for their new products. But then, I haven't answered a single of them. We were too busy with the previous jobs and I had no time to reply to them" explained Honoka. Her finger scrolled through her email's inbox.

"I need you to postpone everything to the following month. If they can't accept my rule, then I'm worried that we have to decline their offer" I said. Honoka looked at me immediately. She furrowed her brows and questioned my order.

"I'm thinking of having a month break from work" I added, telling her about my plan. Well, I've thought this thoroughly. Not only me but Honoka deserved a short break too. She's been overworking herself much. She barely had time for her family and I felt guilty for dragging her everywhere with me because of work. Unlike me who's an orphan and sadly an only child, Honoka still has her family waiting for her return to her hometown.

"But why..." she was about to protest when I cut her off.

"We've been working back to back for months now and honestly, my body felt sore. I need some rest to get myself back in shape. I need to reshape my lifestyle. I need off days where I can clear my mind before I start with another work. In other words, I'm planning to go for a short trip and you, you need rest too, Honoka. You've been ignoring your family's calls and texts and that's because you were too busy looking after me. Your family must have needed you but you had to be far away from them. We both need a short break and I think a month would be enough. Just tell them I wanted this break. I'm sure they would understand."

Honoka hummed in thought while she sipped on her coffee. She placed down her mug and tapped on her phone's screen with her index finger.

"Are you sure?" she asked for confirmation and I nodded without hesitation.

"Alright then. I'll respect your decision. I'll inform them about it later and I'll get back to you once they replied us back" my lips stretched upon that. Nice.

"You mentioned about going for a trip earlier. Where to?" Honoka propped her elbow on the table and rested her chin on top of her palm.

"Not sure. How about you? Are you going back to Niigata?" I tried to shift the topic, refusing to talk about my actual plan. Honoka would definitely lose her sanity if she found out. I was sure enough about my trip.
