Chapter 7: The secrets of Dark Magic (Part 2: The Dungeon of Illusionment)

"Are you sure this is the right place, Kage? Because all I see is a dead in" Said Liz. "Yeah, or at least I think it is." "Hang on guys, let me use Light Magic to light up the room." Jason then uses some Light magic to light up the area, and one of the walls suddenly disappeared leading to a flight of stairs going down, "Well, I guess we now have a way through." "I thought there was a wall there, though?" Said Liz.

    After the five of them went down the stairs, they noticed a sign that says |"Welcome to the Dungeon of Illusionment, the First trial of the dungeon will test your perception."| "What is that supposed to mean?" Asked Liz. "I think it's similar to how the entrance was, there was a wall, but when I used my Light Magic, there was none, it could mean that this room uses something similar, but we have to look around." "Hey I found something." said Zach "what is it?" "It's some sort of paintings, but something is off about them." "Can I see Big Brother? I'm really good at puzzles like this." "I don't see a problem with that, though it has to be accepted by everyone else." "May I take a look?" Then Jason, Liz, and Kage all said, "sure." After hearing that, Sophia's eyes light up, she nodded, and took a closer look at the two paintings. "Oh I get it now, it's one of those spot the difference kind of things, you see, they look like the same painting, but they're not, like right here." Sophia then presses something on one of the paintings, and suddenly a door opened up. "Great job Sophia, I probably wouldn't have been able to solve it myself." Said Zach, Sophia blushes a bit, as everyone went through the door and continued down.

There was another sign |"Congratulations on solving that last puzzle, there are exactly twenty left."| ("wait, there's twenty more? Are all of them going to be like that?") |"This next trial is all about the reflection"| ("I guess that makes sense, since this room is full of mirrors") ["We then completed the puzzle which was pretty a room filled with mirrors and one of the mirrors just didn't have a reflection, any ways after that, we worked our way through the other twenty puzzles each getting more difficult than the last, and then we made it to the final room."]

|"Congratulations on making it this far in my trials, there is one last test and this is how it will be for all the other dungeons as well, there is a boss in the next room that you must defeat each dungeon has a boss based on the theme and will use what you learned against you, you must be cautious and use what you learned during each trial to defeat it, once the boss is defeated, the scroll will show itself, and a chest filled with treasures or a special item will spawn, there will also be a teleport stone available as well, to warp you back to the entrance of the dungeon, and I wish you luck."|

"So a final boss? That so cool." Said Liz "yeah but also could be very difficult." Said Jason "well actually it's a level one difficulty boss, it says right here on the first scroll." Said kage, then Jason looked at the scroll and it was true, the boss was a level one, "Okay, well it may be true that the boss is a level one, but we should be careful, especially since Zach and Sophia only have the attributes for Null magic." "I guess you're right, Jason." The then entered the final room, and the boss is no where to be found, "huh, where is the boss?" Asked Liz. ("Something isn't right, this dungeon is about illusions, so that must mean...") "Zach, Sophia, watch out!" Zach and Sophia then dodged a strong blast "Woah that was close." Said Zach and Sophia in harmony. Then the boss appeared. ("Woah that's new for this world, the boss has  its name, level, and health above it, it's called the Illusioner, wait how tough is a level one boss in this world?") then the world went white once again "huh? Wait a minute, Shia, did you do this? What is it this time?" "I wanted to ask you something Jason." "Right now? We were about to fight a boss." "Yes, right now." "Okay, uh, what is it?" "How come you didn't go to the hardest dungeon that I was trying to get you to go?" "So it was you telling me to go there? Well the reason why, was because I felt that it might be too dangerous, especially for Zach and Sophia, and I didn't want to lose my sister of this world." "I see, well you didn't have to worry about that, I gave the young one and the chosen one a protection charm, so nothing can harm them, and as for your sister of this world, my world, she is fine as long as you're with her, both hers and your magic is doubled when you two are together." ["As I heard her explanation, I felt a little relieved, though something in my gut was still telling me that the hardest dungeon would be too difficult"] "Anyways, Shia, is there something else you wanted to tell me?" "Oh yes, you were wondering how tough is a level one boss was?" "Yeah, I was just thinking about that before you summoned me, oh and what level would we be?" Shia then thinks for a bit "Okay well, that young boy named Kage, he would be a level five as he hasn't got much combat experience like you and your sister, as for the young one, he is about a level two along side as the chosen one, and lastly you and your sister are a level ten." "Okay, and what is the maximum level in this world?" "The maximum level is unlimited, though for humans they normally max out at around one hundred, as for you and your sister, your maximum can reach beyond that, also for boss levels, they're levels are a little bit different, you see there levels is ten times what they're levels show, so that level one boss you're currently fighting, is actually a level ten." "I see, so it's pretty difficult, so if a boss was level one hundred, it would be a level one thousand!" ["With that info, it shocked me, and if that final boss in the hardest dungeon was a level one hundred, it would be a very tough pickle, that was the unknown gut feeling, and I was glad that I decided to ignore what my mind was telling me when Shia wanted me to go to the hardest dungeon."] "Oh yeah, how do we level up in this world?" "Oh that's very simple, you gain experience, and to gain experience is by defeating monsters or by training, just like in video game from your old world." ("Just like a game, huh?") "Thank you for telling me this info, Shia." "Of course, oh but if you really want to thank me, I want you to go to the hardest dungeon on your own." "Huh? Are you sure?" "Yes, though do be careful, as that dungeon is filled with a bunch of dangers, including what's called mimic's, they take all sorts of forms in that dungeon, they could be a chest, a door, or even a tile on the floor." Jason then gulped, "But don't worry, as it would be very beneficial for you, the young one, and the Chosen one if you get to the end of that dungeon." "Okay, I think I'm ready to go." Shia then nods and the room around Jason begins to reappear, and then the Illusioner slashes at Jason, he barely dodges the attack ("Shoot, I almost forgot that we were in the middle of a boss fight before Shia interrupted me, I have to be careful, because if what Shia told me was true, then this boss isn't a level one, it's actually a level ten, and the same match as Liz and I") "Guys, this boss is actually a level ten, not a level one!" "How do you know that?" Asked Liz "Never mind that right now, we have a fight to do." "Right!" Everyone said in harmony, then suddenly the Illusioner disappeared. "Where did he go?" Asked Liz. "Just be cautious, because if this is like how it was when we entered the room, he's still here, just hidden, everyone, on high alert, Liz, Zach, Sophia use Null Magic to detect the boss." "How do we do that?" Asked Zach. "Just close your eyes and feel the space around you." "Close our eyes, are you serious?!" Asked Liz. "Just do it, and Kage, use detection magic, it's almost the same, but Dark, and Light Magic users can use it to heighten their senses." "Okay" Liz, Sophia, and Zach closes their eyes a was able to get a sense of their surroundings, and Kage used Dark Magic to also get a sense at his surroundings, "woah I think I could see the Illusioner now, it's like I'm looking right at him." Said Liz. "That's because of how Null Magic works, now, everyone, same thing applies as earlier, try not to get hit, and try to find a weakness to it"

   Everyone was taking turns attacking the monster, not all at once due to that not being very strategic, this way no one can accidentally hurt each other. It was a tough battle, but eventually they succeeded in defeating the boss, once defeated the Illusioner vanished one last time and in its place was a pedestal, a chest, and a teleport stone, they approached the pedestal and picked up a scroll, Jason opened it |"congratulations on defeating the final boss, as a reward, my scroll to teach you the spell Illusionment is now available to you, all you have to do is to touch the word, and you'll be able to use it"| "Really, that's all we have to do to learn it?" Asked Liz. "I guess so." Said Jason, then him, Kage and Liz touched the word, Illusionment, and suddenly the scroll started to glow for a few seconds, and then it vanished, then Zach opens the chest right next to them, "What's this?" "It looks like some kind of ring, do you mind passing it to me so I can inspect it?" Asked Jason, "Uh, sure." Zach then passes the ring to Jason, and Jason started to inspect the ring, then he touched the side of the ring and it split into two, "ah I see, okay so this ring does something similar to what happens to twins, two people would wear both rings, and when they are together they're power is added together to make them stronger, and when they are separated, their power goes back to normal." "Oh okay I see." Jason hands both rings to Zach, "Here, you and Sophia should have these." Zach then nods his head, and hands one of the rings to Sophia, and the both put the ring on. "Thank you Jason" said Sophia, "No problem."

   After that they then stepped on the teleport stone, and were sent back to the surface, they then made it back to Phenix academy, and went to their dorms Sophia with Liz, and Zach with Jason. Once midnight struck, Jason snuck off, after making sure Zach was asleep.
