"What happened?" Owen asked and I just shoved my phone back into my pocket and started running to where paddock 9 was.

"No time to explain." I stated quickly, running out of breath as I ran and his walk broke into a run after me.

I started to get worried for the tourists who were visiting the park today and tomorrow and for as long as the park would remain open. As soon as we got closer to paddock 9, we heard screams and I guess that ACU was already there, trying to control the situation. By the sounds of the screaming, I started running as fast I could into a sprint.

Owen caught up to me because he was a lot taller and had more endurance than I did. He looked at me worried and when I put in the code for the paddock, since I was the trainer for Monte, we hurried to where we heard all of the screaming.

As soon as I saw the sight, I cringed and about a dozen ACU guys were wielding tranquilizer guns and long tasers out towards where the large tree was, where tourists could view when they fed him his daily goat. That sounds terrible but an animal has got to eat what he eats.

The glass that was built in the side of the redwood tree so the tree would still look like a tree to the dinosaur, but tourists could view the dinosaur in a "natural habitat."

Outside of the broken glass was Monte standing close to where the ACU were, and they were all ready to shoot their tranq guns.

"DO NOT shoot those guns!" I yelled at them and they all looked at me confused. They stayed their ground and looked like they were going to shoot the dinosaur that was fairly close to them. I didn't blame them, but shooting this dinosaur was only going to make everything worse for everyone.

"What is the problem?" I asked, because unless someone fell in the paddock, there was no need to shoot Monte if we could just close the exhibit and fix the window, they've done it before. It didn't take more than a couple hours because we couldn't afford to lose ratings and lose our credibility for taking longer than needed to fix a fucking window.

"There is a tourist down there, two of them. We need to get them out safely and the only way to do that is to tranquilize the asset." One of the ACU guys said to me and I shook my head.

"No it's not. Don't shoot." I said, walking over to the first aid kit that was equipped with a flare and I took the flare and looked back at the ACU team and Owen, who I realized was still there with us, and I sighed as I looked down at the two tourists who were freaking out.

"Get them out of here when I lure the dinosaur away. Don't ask questions, don't let them die." I said, looking down into the broken glass and looking at Monte who was inching closer and closer to the tourists who were laying on the ground, trying to stay still, probably instructions from the ACU.

Once I got a good angle to jump from, Owen started yelling. "NO! Don't go down there, you will get eaten." he said and it was too late, I had more of a chance of living than the tourists.

"Don't scream." I told them, as I lit the flare and the attention of the huge tyrannosaurus rex that stood a couple dozen feet taller than me. They looked at me with worry in their eyes as I started to run away from them, to get Monte away from them.

If I got hurt, that would be alright because I got hurt everyday, but these tourists were not in for what happened to them and it wasn't fair that is happened to them. Claire would probably reimburse their money, their entire trip and offer them another one in the future. I looked back and saw that Monte was running after me and I started running faster and faster to get away from the people.

This was how I got to train him recently. Since I wasn't imprinted on him at birth, this was about as far as we had gotten with him, since I couldn't quite convince a carnivorous, human eating dinosaur to listen to my english commands. The apatosaurus and triceratops were much easier as they were herbivores and didn't want to eat me all the time.
