Hinata bounded through the door or the Karasuno high school gym. He skipped inside the gym and saw Kageyama warming up his serves for morning practice. "Hey Kageyama!" He yelled as he walked up to him. Kageyama jumped when he heard hinatas voice, causing the ball to drop onto his head and bounce off. "Hello Hinata." He said after a pause. Hinata walked into the gym and took off his jacket. He had shorts and a T-shirt on underneath the jacket. "Can i warm up with you Kageyama?!" He asked as he jumped next to him. "Sure whatever i'll serve to you and you try to receive them." Kageyama directed and pointed at the other side of the court. "But Kageyama I suck at receives!" Hinata complained. "Exactly that's why your doing them. Now go over there before i change my mind."

Hinata begrudgingly walks over to the other side of the court and prepares to receive one of Kageyamas servers. "You ready Hinata?" Kageyama called over. Hinata positioned himself in the best way he thought would work for Kageyamas serves. "Yup!" He called back. In one fluid motion, Kageyama tossed up the ball, jumped, and made contact with the ball, sending it flying over the net. Hinata saw the hall coming, and moved forward a bit, trying to position himself underneath the ball. He thought his positioning was perfect; but the ball hit his upper arm and bounced back the other way.

"Ahhhwww man!" Hinata yelled as he looked down at his arms, trying to see where he could've messed up. He finally thought he figured it out. "Maybe I just moved to far up. That's why it went the wrong way! Yea that's it... It's because the way the ball hit my arms was all wrong!" He nodded to himself silently then looked back up at Kageyama. "Gimme one more!" He called as he based out his feet. Kageyama sighed and grabbed a ball out of the ball cart. Kageyama repeated the same steps from earlier. Over and over Hinata missed, Kageyama served again.

Until, Coach Ukai entered with the third years. "Big news for you Kageyama." He said as he clapped his hands together and made his way over to him. Nishinoya and Tanaka walked in at that moment and walked over to the group. "Big news Eh?" Tanaka questioned as he and Noya walked up to them. "Yes. Kageyama you have been invited to the Japan Youth training camp that is being held this weekend." Kageyama stood in surprise for a moment, before speaking up slightly. "Really?.." He had always dreamed of going to one of those big training camps. And he had gotten invited to the biggest one in only his first year. "Damn Kageyama! That's a big achievement!" Tanaka anonced as he patted Kageyama on the back a bit harshly.

"Uh- Thanks.." Kageyama was still in shock. "What about me? Did anyone want me to be at a camp!?" Hinata asked the coach with a sparkle in his eyes. "Uhm- sorry hinata... but no one requested you..." Hinata stood there a bit awkwardly. Tsukishima and Yamaguchi walked in and Tsukishima made a comment to Hinata. "I got invited to a camp and you didn't? How lame." He said with a scoff. Hinata looked at him with a angry expression.
"Not funny Tsukishima! Maybe they just forgot to ask for me..." Hinata tried to make excuses to make himself feel better, to no avail. "Right." Tsukishima said as he walked past Hinata and placed a hand on his shoulder for a moment.

Hinata glared at him before Coach Ukai broke the tension in the room. "Okay start doing your normal warm up drills! We're going to do a six on six this afternoon, so warm up and practice. Teams are the same as usual." The coach instructed. The team started warming up as they usually would, but kageyama couldn't get the thought out of his mind that he would be attending the Japan youth training camp. All throughout school, Throughout afternoon practice all the way up to when the team was walking out of practice. Even then, the thoughts where still in the back of his mind.

The team went to Ukais shop every day after school to hang out and get a snack. On the way to the shop, Hinata spoke up to the others. "I can't believe not a single training camp invited me! Like i understand not being invited by the Japan Youth, but none of them?" Hinata frowned. "It'll be fine Hinata! Next year you'll have forty camps chasing after you!" Nishinoya announced as he patted his shoulder. "Yea i guess so. Thanks Nishinoya." Hinata said with a small smile. The team walked into the store and bought what they needed, before parting ways and walking home.

As Kageyama made it home, he decided what he was going to pack for the camp. He grabbed the luggage that hadn't moved from under his bed in years and set it on his bed. He would be leaving in two days for a week, so that meant he needed a weeks worth of clothes. He opened all his drawers and threw in everything he could fit. He didn't know the first thing about packing, so he just hopped it would work. He changed into his pajamas and laid down. He grabbed his volleyball and set it up and down until he got sleepy. He finally drifted off to sleep.

The next day, He woke up and ate a good breakfast that consisted of avocado toast and water. He changed into his work out clothes and went for a jog. The air was crisp; so he wore his karasuno volleyball team jacket. He ran about two miles, before he went back home. They didn't have volleyball practice that day because Coach Ukai had to do something important that he didn't specify. The rest of kageyamas day was normal. He set his volleyball up and down, and did his schoolwork for the week that he would be missing. He was so excited for the next day, because he would be off to Tokyo. He tucked himself into bed around 10:30 pm, but it took a while for him to fall asleep due to the excitement running through him. He fell asleep around one in the morning.
