Chat silently jumps onto the roof, making his way to the trapdoor.

*Tap, tap, tap*

Marinette stops sewing, side-eyeing the trapdoor. Rolling her eyes, a small smile was starting to appear on her lips. As much as she complained about Chat Noirs antics, she actually secretly loved them, not that she was able to hide that most of the time.
"Come in Chat"
Chat jumps through the trapdoor leaning against the wall
"Evening princess, is my presence becoming predictable now?"
"Well, considering you're the only one that can visit me entering through the balcony, I'm going to say yes." Marinette laughs.
"I guess that would narrow it down." Chat says pouting.
Marinette stands and walks over to him, leaning against the wall opposite Chat.
"Sooo... How did your latest akuma attack go?"
'Maybe Chat noticed something different about the fight and I can figure out what happened with the magical ladybugs.' Marinette wonders.
"To be honest... not great princess. I'm not sure I want to talk about it." Chat says, looking down with a sad expression.
"Why? Is everything okay? Are you okay?" Marinette blurts out, concerned that maybe his injuries didn't heal either.
"Oh, sorry... you don't have to tell me-"
"I'm okay... I'm just not sure if ladybug is."
Chat peels himself off the wall and slumps down on a nearby chair.
"She just... left... I wanted to make sure she was okay. I don't think her injuries were healed and I couldn't find her. I'm so worried princess. She only got hurt because of me in the first place. But I'm not just worried, I'm mad which I don't think I've even been mad at ladybug before. I know she was about to transform back and I don't blame her for leaving in the first place but she didn't come back after recharging either... I looked for her for ages after.. what if she passed out from the pain? I can't help but worry about her..."
'Oh Chat... I'm so sorry.' Marinette thought to herself, tears starting to fill her eyes. Guilt filling her heart as she touches her injured arm.
Marinette rushes to chat and throws her arms around him, careful not to show her pain.
Chat Noir is surprised at first but returns the hug, thankful that someone cares.
"I'm so sorry." Marinette whispers this time.
"What did you say princess?" Unsure of what she said.
"Oh- I um, l-I'm sorry she did that to you... Ladybug probably didn't think you'd be that worried about her." She looks up at him awkwardly
"I know..." He sighs.
"I know I come off as carefree but I really worry about her. I didn't even get a chance to apologise to her for getting injured."
"I'm sure she knows you are and she probably doesn't even blame you." Marinette says with a small smile, backing away.
"Thanks princess, you always make me feel better."
Chat steps toward her again and gives her a kiss on the cheek. Marinette blushes a light pink and looks down at the ground for a moment trying to hide her smile.
"You're welcome, kitty."
"Hey, come with me, I want to show you something." Chat says, grabbing Marinette's arm. Marinette winces, eyes watering from the pain.
"Marinette! I'm so sorry! Are you okay?! What happened?!"
"Oh it's nothing! I-I think I slept on it wrong and I've been sewing all afternoon so I think I just aggravated it." She says trying to smile through the pain.
"Are you sure?... That looked like it hurt a lot.. I'm so sorry." Chat says, ears drooping feeling guilty that he's hurt two people he cares about today.
"Oh yes, I'm okay. I'm sorry to worry you. I can be a little dramatic sometimes. I think it was more the shock of you grabbing it." The pain is finally starting to ease off and Marinette straightens up and puts her best fake smile on.
"See? I'm perfectly fine."
Unsure, Chat looks into her eyes, worried. The same worry he felt for Ladybug.
"...Okay... But please don't push yourself, or I'll have to look after both of my two favourite people." Chat says with a small smile.
"I'm one of your two favourite people?" Marinette asks shyly.
"Of course you are princess. You always will be."
Marinette starts to blush, rubbing the back of her neck.
"You're such a flirt, you know that?"
"I've been told but I can't see it, you know? Me? A flirt? Never." Chat says with a smirk, back to his happy self.
"Anyway princess, I must be off. After all, too much of me and you might fall for me." Chat says with a wink. He takes a deep bow and exits through the trapdoor. Marinette gives a small wave, watching him leave. Letting out a little giggle once he's gone.
'I think I'm starting to.' The thought creeps up in her mind but she doesn't shake it away this time.
