"Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one!" could be heard through the speakers on the spaceships. Their journey was just about to begin. The moment the countdown was over, they were surrounded by loud noise as the spaceship left the ground and sped up to the edge of the atmosphere... the edge of Space, leaving Earth behind. For that they had to travel 100 km just about halfway to the moon! And from there on, they still had a long way to go. Their journey up will take about 6 or 7 minutes, and from there on they'll be able to travel at steady 260.000.000 km/h 10.000 times faster than ever before!
"Waah! Waah! Waah!" two little girls cried. They didn't know what was happening and they were scared. They just wanted their mama. Agnetha felt like crying too. She wanted to sooth them, but she knew she couldn't. Not until they reached space and began the path to their final destination. There, they could finally move around, and she'll be able to hold her little girls. Now, it was simply too dangerous.
Little Clara held her papa's hand and tried to be brave. She saw no one was panicking and they all seemed calm. 'Why am I scared though?' she thought. She was a big girl after all! Soon enough she felt much less scared, and her tears dried. Having her papa and big sister right beside her helped too! Agnetha held little Solveig's hand. She was sat in a special chair... she was only 10 months old after all! The little one looked from one person to the other... she knew everyone and even Clara stopped crying... but she couldn't help it. This was just too scarry! She cried and cried until they reached the edge of space and were suddenly surrounded by silence.
She giggled. The big loud scary noise finally stopped, and all was good again. Agnetha quickly took her baby girl in her arms and held her tight, earning giggles in response. The little girl cuddled into her mama's chest and was soon asleep. "We're now in Space," said a voice from the speaker, earning a huge applause. "Now we will set on a journey through our solar system to the edge of it and then reach the point when things can change... you can roam freely on the mother ship, or you can stay in your own spaceships. It is totally up to you," the voice continued. "To reach the edge we have to travel 30 trillion km... meaning 30 000 000 million km (30 million million!). Our average speed is 260.000.000 km/h... making that 6.240.000.000 km/d 43.680.000.000 km/week 2.277.600.000.000 km/year. Making it just about 13,2 years... 13 years and 2,4 months... so we should arrive to the edge in 13 years and 3 months! Safe journey and see you tomorrow for our first meeting!" Now the lengthy journey truly begun!
