Usually, after a long night of being a werewolf, I would be knackered.
So tired, in fact, half the time I barely made to the bed and slept on the couch in the Common Room. But this time, I feel like I've slept forever and I'm just suddenly full of energy, I just couldn't sit still!
Turning over for the umpteenth time, I sighed, then sat up and walked in a zombie like motion towards the bathroom to shower, might as well do it now because when Lily gets up they won't be any hot water left.
I didn't rush through my shower like I normally did, I simply relaxed under the warms streams, shaving my legs, armpits, scrubbing with my berry body wash before massaging my head with berry blast shampoo and conditioner, I just finished when a sleepy Lily knocked on the bathroom door politely, "MOVE YOUR BUTT, NOW! ITS 8:03 AND I HAVENT EVEN HAD A BLOODY SHOWER YET!" Well, I never said Lily was a morning person, now did I?
Putting on my school robes, I hastily fastened the infuriating neck ties, they never sat right no matter what magic you used. I brushed my long dark hair up into a 'half up-half down' up do, letting my side fringe settle nicely around my eye and ear.
I skipped around the dormitory waiting for Lily, humming happily out of tune. I was so excited. I took more time in getting myself ready in preparation for my mate, as I continued to skip, dance, hum and sometimes sing out of tune.
Lily walked out of the bathroom brushing her beautiful red hair, honestly, it was no wonder James Potter liked her so much. Or Severus for that matter. I didn't particularly like the dark haired git, but Lily does and have you ever tried to argue with a redhead? A redhead girl for that matter? No? Then shut up.
"Someone's happy this morning," she commented dryly, as she pushed her long hair up into a high ponytail with bangs framing her heart shaped face.
"Oh yeah, I had such a great dream last night." Lily didn't know about my lycanthropy, so how could I tell her about my mate? This was to protect her, I couldn't let my best friend get injured because of an illness I had that some prick gave me.
Now it sounds like I have HIV or something. Great.
"Must have been some dream," she muttered just as she finished her hair, then she linked her arms through mine, "come on, let's go to breakfast, we already are bit late, we need to hurry," so catching my good mood, Lily skipped with me, to the Great Hall giggling.
We earned a few strange looks but we laughed at them all, you can't really blame us, the looks on their faces were really amusing. One 5th year Hufflepuff actually walked into a wall, causing us to simply laugh harder and louder. Very unattractive. Which made everyone to stare like we just walked in wearing nothing. Boy wouldn't a certain messy haired Maraurder simply love that, wouldn't they dear Lily-flower?
When we sat down we continued to talk about the look on people's faces when a certain group of boys sat across from us. Instantly dropping my smile, I looked away from them and down at my suddenly interesting bacon.
"Hello Lily-flower and Ivy-vine, how are you today?" God, not those incessant nicknames again, not only did it annoy my red headed friend, it annoyed me as well. "Bug off, you toe rag." Lily said through gritted teeth almost immediately. Without missing a beat James replied. "Don't be so upset, Evans. Go out with me."
He literally asks that question every bloody day. Take a hint you bloody moron! But I noticed something. His usual tan skin was a touch paler than usual and was that a hint of worry in his hazel eyes? Even if it was masked by arrogance and love. He had a barely noticeable dimple indentation that I've never seen before. But all the boys, especially Remus, were looking anxious and worried, like someone found out an extremely deep secret they were afraid might be spread around the school.
