He took a seat on a chair, stretching out his long legs and watching the young woman for several minutes. When she woke up and sat up, Crowley made a cup of hot chocolate appear, sat down beside her, and spoke.
"What's your name?" -he asked in the sweetest, kindest tone he could manage.
She accepted the cup with a confused look. "My name is Raphiel... What's this?" -she asked, curiously eyeing the steaming contents.
"It's chocolate, cocoa, whatever you like to call it. Tell me, Raphiel, where are you from?" -he questioned.
She looked at the liquid with more interest. "Oh, yes, my father told me about this. He says it's delightful to taste... whatever that means" -she laughed.
«My father... My father... My father?» -the demon screamed internally, utterly baffled.
"So... your father..." -he said, nearly hissing.
"Oh, yes, he's the Supreme Archangel. I don't really understand what that means either" -she shrugged. "But Metatron says it's an important position."
"That old man... he must have something to do with this girl's existence" -Crowley thought.
"By the way, what's your name?" -Raphiel asked, looking at him with curiosity.
He considered whether to tell her, unsure if the current Supreme Archangel had ever mentioned him. Eventually, he decided to introduce himself. "Crowley. Anthony J. Crowley."
"What's the J for?"
Crowley shrugged and hissed slightly, "Ssss... It's just a J."
"Oh... Well, it's nice to meet you, Anthony." -She took his hand, giving it a shake.
The demon looked down at her hand holding his, feeling a bit uncomfortable, but he returned the gesture. "Please, just call me Crowley..."
"Crowley..." -she repeated, smiling, and then stared at their hands, surprised. "Is that... a gift?"
"What are you talking about?" -Crowley asked, confused, then noticed that the little snake that had earlier been near his cheek was now in her hand. "I... don't know... This is new..."
She let go of his hand and raised hers to get a closer look at the tiny snake. "Hmm, curious. I like it" -she declared, grinning with delight.
The small snake moved, coiling itself around her middle finger like a ring, which pleased Raphiel even more. She then turned her attention to the cup, inspecting it closely.
"You should drink it before it gets cold," -Crowley said, frowning slightly as he continued to eye the little snake.
Raphiel ran a finger along the rim of the cup. "Yes... It's just that I don't know how to do it; angels don't consume anything."
"Oh, right... Well..." -He positioned his left hand as if holding something, and instantly a cup of tea appeared. "Watch and learn." -He brought the cup to his lips and took a sip. "Now, your turn."
Raphiel nodded, mimicking the gesture, and as the chocolate touched her lips, her face went through a series of expressions: first a slight distaste at the texture, then wonder, and finally delight as she found the taste to be heavenly.
"This is delicious; it does something strange in the mouth" -she said, wiggling her fingers towards her lips before drinking in long sips. "My father told me it was delicious, but this is more than delicious."
Crowley smiled nostalgically, remembering the time Aziraphale first tried food. He finished the tea he'd conjured and handed the cup to Muriel, asking her to take it to the kitchen.
