a break?

Killua woke up to Gon sleeping peacefully on his chest "baby we have to wake up" Killua says rubbing his eyes and slightly shaking Gon "nooooo" Gon said muffled due to his face being buried in killua's chest "i'll buy you McDonalds if you wake up right now" Killua said smirking slightly "OKAY!" Gon shouted hopping out of bed "so cute" killua muttered chuckling.

The couple were on the way to school when a familiar face appeared "Oh hi Killua and Gon! I didn't know you walk this way!" Reya exclaimed "oh really?.." gon muttered as the conversation went awkwardly silent "*ahem* w-well let's start walking..!" killua said rubbing the back of his head.

When the three reached school in an awkward silence, just when gon thought things couldn't get worse, killua excused himself to the restroom.

"soooo.. how's you and killua?" reya asked breaking the silence "oh..we're good i guess" Gon muttered "cool..." reya said "do you like not like me or something? i've heard from my friends you've been talking about me..so" gon said with a bit of attitude "o-oh well um-" reya was about to explain, but to her luck killua came back from the restroom "okay i'm back let'a head to class" killua said smiling a bit "okay killua!" reya said smiling and blushing as gon just glared at her then back at killua and walked to his first class "oh uh..i guess i'll head to class too, bye reya!" killua shot her a smile and waved.
why was reya talking about Gon? killua thought heading to his first class.

it was now time for lunch and gon insisted on letting reya sit with them, killua found it a bit weird but let it slide.

"hey killua!" reya said waving at him and blushing. "hi reya.." killua muttered "soooooooooo, killua i was wondering if you wanted to go to the park with me this afternoon?..." reya said in a flirty tone poking his arm slightly "oh uhm sorry im hanging with gon today..maybe tomorrow?" killua said looking over at gon who was rolling his eyes "yeah he wants to spend time with his boyfriend..not some ex who probably hurt him in the past." he muttered the last part "what was that freecs?" she said in a threatening tone "you heard me-" gon said as killua interrupted their argument "can you both stop?!" killua finally said, sighing and throwing his food away.

after he threw his food away he thought of an idea. when he sat back down he was greeted by reya and gon arguing again. "GON!" killua said rushing over to gon who was about to fight reya "cmon, we're gonna be late for our next class!" killua said trying to pull gon away. "fine.." gon said pulling killua's arms away "bye reya see ya!" killua said walking away.

"Gon what the hell? why were you trying to fight reya?" killua asks catching up to gon "She was talking shit about me behind my back! What did you think i was gonna do?!" Gon said turning to face killua "If you aren't on my side then..." gon went silent "t-then?.." killua said feeling a sting in his eyes "then w-we probably need to t-take a break.." Gon said looking down fighting the tears in his eyes "w-what? But i am! i promise!" Killua said as he let a few tears escape his eyes "it doesn't look like it! you've never even pushed her away! Not even once! i think we i need some time, im-im sorry killua" Gon said turning and going to his next class.
