Today's plan is a baby shower. Not ours, but one of my distant cousins. Kim and I wandered the baby isles of target, searching for the perfect gift on this very long, expensive registry.
"what the hell do they need a blender for? It's a baby gonna make some protein shakes??"
I said, as I glanced at my phone scrolling through this incredibly long and kind of stupid baby registry.
" I don't know maybe they needed to mixed babies formula."
Kim said as she pushed the cart and looking at all the stuff in the baby isles.
" a $300 blender? Also, they don't even have baby formula on the list!"
" let me see that. There's no way..."
She said that she took my phone for me and looked at the registry scrolling down, witnessing all the stuff that we're barely baby related.
"seems like more stuff for them then the damn baby."
She said that she handed me by my phone.
" righttt I know i wasn't going crazy."

We ended up getting a three pack of onesies, and one single toy must because we didn't want to give them the satisfaction of spending that much money on a child that they're most likely not gonna take care for.
I mean that whole goddamn registry was just stuff for them.
" what are we gonna wear to the thing though??"
I said, as I began to drive home and Kim lifted her head from her phone and looked at me.
"I don't know you could wear one of those white shirts you have with some jeans or dress pants."
"I'm thinking about it....noooo it's to bland."
"no it's not it's the way you have to style it. Like you could wear your shades and a nice belt.. and some jewelry like a bracelet or a watch and a necklace"
"Like a chain!"
"that actually sounds pretty good.."

Later that day we walked into the venue and said hi to everyone while I held the bag with the gift. When I tell you I saw the new moms eyes widen in excitement at the huge back I knew she thought we brought something off her personal list.

I chose comfort over presentation and I do not regret it. I've never felt so under dress at an family gathering but at least i feel comfortable.
And Kim looked amazing as always. She always did. Today she didn't wear any makeup and chose a comfortable appearance as well since she kinda had something to hide from our family.

It was a nice time we were there for about what two hours just hanging out talking to relative eating food and also finding out the babies gender.
Turns out my cousin is having a baby girl! They had a nice beautiful cake that clearly costed a lot of money and although the baby registry was just stuff for them, a lot of people got the gifts for the baby instead and she seemed kind of mad but literally no one cared.
____________________________________ We returned home and Kim immediately knocked out on the couch. And I was equally tired, but as it was a little bit dirty.
I clean the kitchen I clean the living room I clean the bedroom, and then I could clean the bathroom, but something caught my eye as I took out the bathroom garbage I noticed a small rectangular thing faced upside down in the garbage.
