Nervous.

"Are you sure he won't care about my tattoo babe?" I ask Mia as I put a shirt and a hoodie on that doesn't hide my neck tattoo very well.

"He won't care if anything he'll ask about it and admire and will probably ask to see the whole thing so. Be prepared to show your chest baby." She says chuckling through the phone.

"He's excited to meet you Cam. Mia talks about you all the time and everytime she does my dad has a big smile on his face and he's always asking when you're coming over to meet him and my mom." Sunday says.

"So does he know I have this tattoo?" I ask them. "Sorta. He knows you have a tattoo but not where and how big it is." Mia says.

I breathe in deeply and exhale and grab my keys.

"I'll be at you house in like 25 minutes babe." I say.

"What? But you live 10 minutes away?" My girlfriend says.

"I know I just need to go get something really quick. I'll text you when I'm outside okay?" I say to Mia.

"Okay fine. I love you drive safe please. No speeding." She says but saying the last part sternly.

"Yes ma'am. I love you more baby." I say as she hangs up.

I look in the mirror and breathe in and out and walk downstairs and walk into my car which is fast. That's why Mia said what she said just now.

I turn the car on and start making my way to the flower shop to get flowers for Mia and her mom.

Time skip-

I finally get at Mia's house and get the flowers out of my car and walk to the door step and ring the door bell.

I wait a few seconds before I start seeing the door open to I fix my posture and begin to smile and I see demitras mom holding the door with her dad behind her mom.

"Hey you must be Cameron right?" Her mom asks me. "Yeah that's me and are you mias sister?"

"Oh please don't flatter me I'm her mother. But thank you though." Her mom says as she smiles.

"Already trying to get on her good side huh?" Her dad says basically making me jump.

"Umm I'm just trying to make a good first impression." I say smiling nervously.

"I'm only kidding." He says smiling which makes me calm down and smile.

"Is that your car?" He asks.

I look at my car and look back at him and nod.

"No shit really?" He says.

"Language." The mom says which makes me laugh.

"Dude that's a really nice car what do you do for a living?" He asks me.

"Hey how about we talk about this inside so she isn't tired of standing up?" The mom says.

"Oh right." He says welcoming me in.

As soon as I step foot inside I hear footsteps upstairs that are coming down which make me look towards the stairs and see Mia with a smile on her face.

"CAMMMMMM!" She says hugging me and kissing my lips.

"Woah woah woah no PDA yet." Her dad says as we keep walking.

"But Noah and Eli do it all the time in front of us but you don't say anything." Mia says.

"Remember that we've known Noah for who knows how long and they've been dating for a while now." He says as we make it over to the kitchen island.

"Oh here this is for you Mia and this is for you miss." I say walking over to Mia's mom. "Oh you shouldn't have. Thank you Cameron." She says hugging me as I hug her back. I make eye contact with her dad and see admiration in his eyes which makes me feel at ease.

I sit next to Mia as her dad proceeds to make conversation with me.

"So what do you do for a living?"

"I'm a hockey player for Princeton." I say. "They pay you guys??" He asks. "Yeah and I also make money off of advertisement." I say.

"No wonder you have that car. That's a beautiful car." He says. "I can let you drive it if you want." I say. "No no I can't be driving expensive cars that aren't mine." He says.

Cameron and Mia's dad hit it off pretty well and the whole family turns out loving Cameron.
