The gala was in full swing when you got there, your arms linked with each of the brothers you were with. Everyone was dressed to the nines, glasses clinking, and music playing while people danced.
Obviously no expense was spared.
"You wanna go to the bar?" Rindou asked.
You nodded as Ran and Rindou walked with you.
"Are you okay?" Ran asked.
You started to feel nervous as you felt eyes on you. Some of the men were blatantly staring, undressing you with their eyes. It nearly made you uncomfortable.
You were usually quite confident, but the stares you were getting gave you a very uneasy feeling.
"Yeah, just anxious I guess." You chuckled. Rindou handed you a drink which you took with a smile. "Just a lot of guys staring."
"You know we won't let any of these pervs touch you right?" Ran assured you.
"Thanks Ran." You told him, smirking. "Does that include you to?"
"I'm not a pervert!" He argued.
"You're the biggest pervert here." You said again, making Ran roll his eyes.
You stayed at the bar for a while, making small conversations with some of the members from the other gang as you all celebrated your new found partnership.
You made sure to stay very close to the Haitanis.
You were laughing at something Ran had brought up when someone cleared their throat behind you.
"Excuse me, I'm sorry to interrupt, but I was wondering if the pretty lady here would like to dance?" The gentleman asked. You all paused, looking over to him.
He was handsome, dark hair, nice eyes, but you got a bad vibe from him, which immediately made you feel defensive.
"I'm sorry, I was actually just about to take my date to the dance floor. Let's go Rin." You said as you downed the last of your drink. You grabbed his hand, leading him to the dance floor.
Ran only frowned as you walked away, his brother right behind you.
You placed your arms around Rindou's neck, and his went to your waist, swaying with the music that played.
"Date huh?" Rin smirked.
"I'm sorry, I just got a bad vibe from him that's all." You told him.
"I'll break his leg if you want." Rindou shrugged. You could only laugh at his words.
"You've probably been wanting to break a lot of bones tonight Rin."
"Only the bones of the men looking at you." He whispered, making a chill go down your spine.
Your heart was hammering, being so close to Rindou like this. You were trying to figure out your feelings in that moment as you both swayed, his confession from earlier on replay in your head.
You decided to look back over to Ran, who watched you with such an intense gaze you wanted to cower away.
What was it about Ran that made you feel like this?
When Ran's eyes met yours, he noticed you immediately look away, back at his brother who had said something, making you smile. A jealous feeling settled in his gut seeing you smile at him. He wanted you to smile at him like that.
Fuck he just wanted you to be his.
Kakucho made his way to the older Haitani, ordering a drink before looking over to where Ran's gaze was.
"You gonna talk to her or?" Kakucho asked with a raised brow. "You've been watching them for 10 minutes now."
"Eventually." Ran shrugged.
