MARIA
Maria, the oldest twin of the three siblings she had sits on the top of a building, her legs swinging over the edge as she watches the city from below. Her skintight spandex suit, the suit that was designed like her mother's, but in a black style, the solid colour being black and the decorations, the web designs and the little intricate details were hot pink and red. Her mask was stuffed in her left pocket as her hood was over her face and her face was exposed, as she felt the cool fall breeze blow against her face, and she watches the city that's alive below.
She inhales and exhales, feeling a sense of calm away from her chaotic household. She needed to get away, to get a grip on her anger issues before it got the better of her, and she knew she needed to keep it under control before she hurt anyone. Sometimes she even wondered if she deserved her own pent up anger.
And then there's the sound of someone unceremoniously dropping to sit next to her, and she doesn't have to look next to her to even take a wild guess who it is, and she sighs. "You know, when someone's usually sitting alone on the top of a building, it typically means they want to be alone," she casts the person next to her a half hearted glance.
The person who had sat next to her was her best friend Sebastian. Son of her aunt and uncle, and the oldest of his three siblings, they definitely encountered a few times and developed an unlikely friendship that usually toed back and forth between love and hate. Hate being mostly Maria since sometimes she couldn't stand his endless playful flirting, but she knows she pretends not to.
She's just scared and won't tell anyone.
"Well," Sebastian began, tugging his hood over his head since he didn't bother to wear his suit when he teleported in, just in a grey shirt, with a white t-shirt underneath, and shorts that showed off his toned legs. "I know you, and whenever you're somewhere like this you're either overthinking or just lonely. So which of the two is it?"
Maria huffs a curl out of her face as she rolls her eyes and looks back out at the city, her palms resting on top of her knees. "Thinking. Not lonely, so that doesn't mean stick around,"
"Oh you wound me," Sebastian grins as he tilts his head in her direction and grins at her lopsidedly, and she rolls her eyes again. "Keep doing that and you might get those pretty eyes stuck."
"Oh great, that means I wouldn't have to see you ever again. Might do it more often," she snarks and he laughs, leaning against the building with her, and they share a quiet moment, as they both breathed silently as they watched a flock of birds flap and squawk by.
Then her phone rings and she sighs as Sebastian looks over, watching her as she answers the phone.
"Hello-" Maria begins but she's cut off immediately.
"Home. Bring Seb with you. Now."
Maria looks at Seb with a worried look as the call ends and they both share a worried look, as he was in earshot to hear. What was going on?
