To those who seek darkness, this world is a haven, but to those who seek color and connection... it's an absolute hell that we must trot carefully in order to live.

Desbine City: A bustling metropolis that houses nearly eight million individuals. In addition, Desbine City is also home to the world's largest community of 'Enhanced' individuals, which resulted from a meteorite crash near the city in the 1960s. However, that was far from a good thing.
Initially, the two communities coexisted harmoniously, but in the 1970s, a surge in crime engulfed the city, prompting a dramatic shift in the dynamics between them. Regardless of whether supported by evidence or not, Enhanced Individuals have been singled out and held responsible for the crimes committed, leading to a vicious cycle of animosity that relentlessly perpetuates itself and afflicts the entire city.
Consequently, individuals possessing curses or powers have been forced to conceal their abilities, yearning for a tranquil existence among society. Nevertheless, an outspoken minority persists in pursuing their own agendas, inflicting irreparable damage to the collective reputation of Enhanced Indivisuals.
Will this cycle of hatred and pain ever end? For many, the answer is a resounding no, unless every enhanced individual is eradicated. However, for a few, the answer is a hopeful yes - peace can indeed be attained through coexistence and understanding. Fortunately, it is possible to mend the division that has arisen in society. However, unfortunately for humanity, there are demons hiding in the depths of Desbine's Dark Shadows, determined to bring destruction to humanity and hinder the attainment of peace.

Location: Southern Desbine Region
As the door to home swung open, the room erupted in a joyful chorus of "Happy birthday!" Simultaneously, friends and family rushed eagerly towards the door, their faces adorned with affectionate smiles. The target of the attention: Wallace Damon.
Wallace was an ordinary boy who loved sports and had short brown hair, with eyes that shone brighter than a star. As the second-oldest son, Wallace enjoyed some extra care from his family, a fact that his older brother never hesitated to tease him about. However, despite this, Wallace excelled academically and maintained a strong circle of friends at school.
Nevertheless, his family harbored a secret that they were compelled to conceal, and as a consequence, they were forced to reside in the most underprivileged region of Desbine.
Outside, their small property was overgrown with tall grass and littered with trash scattered about the yard, while the house itself had peeled most of its original paint, giving it a naked and repulsive appearance. The interior was not any better: it was desolate and plagued with many of the same issues as the exterior - empty walls, scattered trash, and a constant pile of dirty dishes. Although repulsive, this was the life many people were forced to live.
"H-Hey guys!" Wallace replied, surprised by the sudden attention. He had secretly wished that everyone would forget his birthday and let him retreat to his room undisturbed, but that was no longer a possibility. He did want to celebrate, but he didn't want his family to spend a lot of money on him.
