Waking up in Lando's hotel room, your hangover starts to instantly creep in.
He's on the sofa in the room, and where he decided to sleep after doing a lot of unmentionable things.
But he's not asleep, just playing on his phone.
"Morning.. you okay?" He looks at you concerned as you sneezed a few times.
"Nope that's killed my head." He sits beside you, looking ready to comfort you over something on his phone."I've had a text, saying we are being spoken about a lot on socials. So I had a look and there is a lot that I'm tagged in. You're also in most of them." Instantly you start to chew your bottom lip.
"Oh Lando. Fuck." He nods his head. "I'm sorry. I just wanted you to have a nice evening out. I can't even contemplate losing my dad or my mum and being able to function. Then I ruined it by arguing with you in the club. Why didn't you tell the girls?" You shrug your shoulders not knowing what he wants to know.
"I knew your emotions were running high from the race and alcohol won't help you. I also don't think that it's you or the person you want to be seen as." He smiles at you.
"Thank you. It's not who I am. I just got stupidly jealous that you wanted to spend time without me, even though you owe me nothing. I appreciate you. Can you come to the next race?"
He kisses you before you can answer. Not letting you go.
As hangovers go, being able to spend it with Lando. Eases it a little. As you go to leave, he has gave you a jacket that doesn't make it look obvious. But the amount of affection he is throwing on you, you'd think you'd have been together for longer than an evening.
"I'll see you soon!! Promise me!" You laugh, but he is serious.
"I need to go Lando. Those two won't be awake and we need to catch our flight." He pouts at you. "Well promise me! Then I'll let you go."The flight home with two hungover teens, is hard to bare. But you just don't think much of it. Until they start asking you what happened.
They laugh as you tell them, about him sleeping on the sofa. You still don't mention the not pleasant words he and you have shared. But told them about him making you promise, he'd see you soon.
Much to one of the girls jealousy.
"Is he good? In bed. Come on you need to share." It you're not keen to divulge. "Is he big?" You can't help but pull a face.
"What the hell? You never asked this when I was with your cousin, so I'm not answering it now."
They ask so many questions, you wish you didn't book seats all together.
"Does he not care that your a mama?" You shake your head. "No he doesn't. Plus who says it's more than just last night."
They both pull faces at you.
"It can't be. You are all over the social pages. Everyone knows you exist in his life."
As soon as you land. You quickly text him. "What now? Another notch on my bedpost or what?"He calls you of all things.
"No I better bloody not be another notch. Are you nearly home?" You laugh nervously, which instantly makes it obvious to the girls, who is calling.
"Yes nearly home to the girls. You heading straight to Belgium?" You have a quick conversation with him, but not because you want to. But as you don't find out what is happening between you both. It's nice to get clarity. It's not until much later that you find out how much is being said about you. Unfollowing all the gossip pages that you had on instagram.
"Seriously what is going to happen now? I am all over instagram with question marks and some horrid comment's."
For once he doesn't call you. "I know I am so sorry about that. But at least some of the photos are cute. My mum commented on them to me. About how happy and erm in love I look."
You sit and pause for a second. You never really analysed the photos. Just the comments that people were leaving.
"Which ones? That's cute to be honest." He laughs down the phone nervously.
"Is it? I'll send you them." He waits until you see them.
"Oh in love? More drunk and raging at me." You laugh as you remember the night more than him.
"No that's not the then, it can't be." He moans at you.
Oh it is. As much as he doesn't want them to be.
"No. I just got jealous. Like I've told you. I'm not used to being second best. And I know I'll need to get used to it with you."
