Prologue

1998 - Ethelline Carpentier is born to Alpha Thomas and Luna Addison Carpentier of the Wild Blossom Pack, one of the smallest packs in the region of Soleil Sur Lune. She is born with one regular brown eye and one milky white eye, giving way to rumours among the more superstitious pack members that she is cursed. These rumours are quickly quelled by Luna Addison.

1999 - Liana Carpentier is born to Alpha Thomas and Luna Addison Carpentier. She is their second and final child, and the younger sister of Ethelline. She has a pair of regular honey brown eyes.

2001 - Luna Addison is tragically killed when rogues break into the Wild Blossom Pack. Alpha Thomas is the first to find her body, and is badly affected. He doesn't make any public appearances for the rest of the year.

2003 - Liana is thrown her first extravagant birthday celebration when she becomes four. Five year old Ethelline is seen being hauled away by Alpha Thomas when she tries to partake in the festivities.

2008 - Alpha Thomas employs tutors from within the Wild Blossom Pack to educate Liana. He sends Ethelline to bed without dinner when she asks why he didn't do the same for her even though she's older. The maid who sneaks Ethelline some leftovers is thrown into the dungeon.

2010 - Liana finds a bracelet belonging to Ethelline, gifted to her by their mother before her demise. After a disagreement with her older sister, Alpha Thomas gives the bracelet to Liana and has Ethelline spend the night in the basement of the house.

2011 - Ethelline fails to shift. Whispers and more speculation about her being cursed and weak begin to resurface. Notably, Alpha Thomas does nothing to dispel rumours, and Ethelline-in the garden with bruises the night of her birthday, is seen being mocked by Liana and her friends.

2012 - Liana successfully completes her shift into a beautiful honey coloured wolf named Lucie. Alpha Thomas openly gifts Liana an expensive necklace and names her 'his most prized daughter'. Ethelline is absent from the celebrations.

2013 - Ethelline is seen in public with her currently most well known attire-a simple grey dress and a veil that covers her face. She is only seen outside whilst accompanying Liana, waiting on her hand and foot and staying silent even when Liana mistreats her.

2014 - Alpha Thomas orders for Ethelline's room to be converted into a walk-in wardrobe for Liana, the latter having demanded for more space for her clothes. Ethelline and her things are shifted into the closet.

2016 - Alpha Thomas hires a private tutor for Liana to educate her on all she needs to become a Luna, wanting to prepare her for the best. Miss Penelope, also the mate and wife of the Beta of the Wild Blossom Pack, takes pity on Ethelline and secretly leaves her some of her notes and books.

That same year at Liana's eighteenth birthday, she fails to find her mate within the Wild Blossom Pack. Despite Liana's visible disappointment, Alpha Thomas appears almost pleased at this.

2019 - Alpha Thomas hires a young omega named Cassandra Muller as a maid. She becomes the only pack member to openly befriend Ethelline, and the first to call her 'Ethel'.

2020 - Liana begins to accompany her father to other packs, but they decline her hand for various reasons. Attending a dinner himself, Alpha Thomas then runs into Alpha Regan Griffith of the Black Sun Pack - the most powerful pack in Soleil Sur Lune - by pure chance.

They discuss a proposal over dinner and part ways promising to work through an agreement further.

2021 - During the New Year's Party, Alpha Thomas announces the good news - that his precious Liana is to be wed and mated to the powerful Alpha Regan. In exchange, the Wild Blossom Pack will receive protection from the Black Sun Pack.
