Ryan Bennett sat in his sleek, minimalist office, the epitome of modern luxury with its floor-to-ceiling windows offering a panoramic view of Tokyo's bustling skyline.

The room was bathed in the warm, golden glow of the late afternoon sun, casting long shadows that seemed to mirror his darkening mood.

He leaned back in his leather chair, his eyes fixed on the massive TV screen mounted on the wall. The elegant decor of his office, with its polished oak desk and carefully curated artwork, did little to soothe the storm brewing inside him. His normally calm, hazel eyes were now sharp and intense, locked onto the live broadcast.

On the screen, Alex Carter, CEO of Carter Industries, stood tall and confident in a tailored suit, his green eyes sparkling with triumph as he signed a contract with the executives of TechWave Inc. The camera zoomed in on their handshake, capturing the moment that sent a wave of rage crashing over Ryan.

TechWave was the very company Bennett Enterprises had been targeting for months, their collaboration meant to be a game-changer.

Ryan's grip tightened around the armrests of his chair, knuckles turning white. "How could this happen?" he muttered, voice laced with disbelief and anger.

The plans for the TechWave deal were supposed to be top secret. Someone within his trusted circle had betrayed him.

Slamming his fist on the desk, the sound echoed through the otherwise silent room. Ryan took a deep breath, forcing himself to remain composed. He pressed the intercom button on his desk.

"Linda, arrange an emergency meeting with all department heads immediately," he instructed his assistant, his voice barely masking his fury. "I want everyone in the conference room in five minutes."

"Yes, Mr. Bennett," came the prompt reply, her tone professional and efficient.

Ryan stood up, straightened his navy blue tie, and ran a hand through his tousled brown hair. He needed to get to the bottom of this, and quickly. As he walked down the sleek, glass-walled corridor towards the conference room, he could feel the weight of his employees' stares. They had all seen the news, and the atmosphere was thick with tension.

Entering the spacious conference room, Ryan took a moment to compose himself. The room was a testament to the company's success, with its state-of-the-art technology and a large mahogany table surrounded by high-back leather chairs. The department heads were already assembled, their faces a mix of curiosity, concern, and unease.

Ryan strode to the head of the table, his presence commanding immediate attention. "Thank you all for coming on such short notice," he began, his voice steady but edged with controlled fury. "I’m sure you’ve all seen the news by now. Carter Industries has signed a contract with TechWave Inc., a deal we were supposed to secure."

A murmur of shock and confusion spread across the room. Ryan continued, "This was a top-secret project. There is no way Alex Carter could have known about it unless someone within our company leaked the information."

The room fell silent, the weight of his words sinking in. Ryan’s gaze swept over his team, searching for any sign of guilt or nervousness. His eyes, usually warm and inviting, were now cold and piercing, like a hawk surveying its prey.

"Johnson, you're head of project development," Ryan directed at the middle-aged man sitting midway down the table. Johnson was a seasoned professional, his gray hair and lined face a testament to years of experience. He looked flustered, adjusting his glasses nervously. "What do you have to say about this?"

Johnson cleared his throat, his voice shaky. "Mr. Bennett, we've been extremely cautious with the project's details. Only a handful of people had access to the full scope."
