3rd person POV
Toshiyo encounterred a handful of weird things on her way to the selection area.

Firstly, there was this weird girl, named Sumiko asking the young lad if she'd seen where her father had went, "Excuse me! Have you seen where my father has gone!? Pls tell me you have!" She said, almost clinging onto the poor girl.

Toshiyo wanted to tell her off so badly. And she did.

She told her straight off, "Listen girl! I don't know where or who your father is and I don't even know you. So just leave me alone and go find someone else to annoy!"

Sumiko looked kind of offended, but atleast she left Toshiyo alone.

Then, as she was passing by a river, some weird farmer called out to her and asked if she liked fried cows or cooked cows.

"Hey! You there! Wait up. Listen, what do you like. Fried cows or cooked cows?" The farmer asked like it was the most normal thing. Nevertheless Toshiyo was scared, "Sir...why are you frying cows...?!"

Needless to say, she had to give him an answer or he wouldn't let her go.

What was her answer you're wondering? She said fried cows...just like the farmer, "Fried cows? Heck yea, they taste the best!" Ok now I don't feel safe anymore...

Anyways.

Then a few hours after that, when she sat down to eat her lunch, she had a flipping pigeon nip at her ohagi while she was eating the riceballs! She loves her master's ohagis!! The pigeon had no right to steal her human food! Well atleast she had 2 more for herself.

After the ohagi incident, as Toshiyo was looking for somewhere to spend a night, some weird talking, walking crow came to her asking for change. It went like, "Caw! Caw! Give me some change! Give me some change! Caw!"

Needless to say, Toshiyo was very stunned to even move from her place. Yea she froze.

If only she knew...

...that it was a wooden robot...

Well, a few seconds later a kid came running to her saying, "Sorry! That is mine! I'm sorry to have disturbed you!" And bowed. It helped Toshiyo unfreeze and she was able to continue her journey again.

After a long and hectic day, Toshiyo decided to get some rest and concluded that  she'd start moving at dawn again.

Dawn arrives and Toshiyo's up and running.

Looking at the map her master drew for her, she concludes that she's a little away from her destination. If she keeps at this pace, then she'll probably make it there by the time it's supposed to start...

Walking, walking, walking. That's all she did until she met someone...interesting.

He was talking to a...crow? Man, what's with Toshiyo and crows?? Well, either way, it was weird for Toshiyo to see someone talking to a flipping crow...!

So she did something any normal person would do, when they see someone weird. She approached him.

Yea, she's normal.

"Excuse me...?" She said to the weird guy. Way to go!

"Huh!?" He seemed kind of startled, "Eh...It seems you're having some problems with the crow. What exactly are you trying to do?" Toshiyo asked. It's not nice to meddle in someone's business unless they come to you for help, themselves, keep in mind...
I mean, what if they're rude!?

Anyways, the guy shrugged it off saying it wasn't anything important, "Ok then, well, can you tell me how much time it'd take to get here?" She said, pointing to a place in her map.

"Hmm? Oh! Hey you're going to take the final selection too??" The guy seemed to suddenly find her very interesting, "You're also taking it!?" Both of them share one braincell.

But she was relieved, sort of to find someone on the same path as hers

"Yes, let's go. I'll take you there."

Since he was the same age as Toshiyo, they got along pretty fine. They talked and walked until they reached their destination.

Toshiyo's POV
The mountain was absolutely gorgeous. Wisteria trees were surrounding us and it just looked so amazing. I saw there were a lot of other young slayers just like me. About five to six girls and twelve to thirteen boys, including my new friend. We have so much in common!

"Man, Fujikasane is so pretty, it definitely place definitely doesn't look like a place where dangerous demon could be." Ryuusuke spoke from behind me, "Yeah. It definitely doesn't." I replied, mesmerized and aslo agreeing with his opinion.

Then, two twin girls came and gave us a few instructions to pass the test. They said we'd have to survive in the mountain, for 7 days and there are demons lurking inside the mountain. I still don't believe this mountain could be hiding demons...

The mountain was honestly so pretty, it's hard to think there's demons lurking inside.

I noticed that the girls were not exactly identical. One had black hair while the other had white. But they had matching kimonos and matching faces... I guess that's enough to be twins.
Don't know. Never exactly been twins eith someone.

But I've never exactly seen twins with different hair colour- "Let's stick together?" Ryuusuke said to me, smiling, snapping me out of my thoughts, "Yeah. Of course!" I returned him his smile.

And then, we're off to survive seven days in a mountain with demons! Great. I'm totally excited...!
