*TIME SKIP TO THE FOLLOWING DAY*
The sun rose beautifully in Hyderabad, witnessing the bustle in Bhanumati's kitchen. Rushing from one end to the other, her excitement was boundless as she prepared breakfast for her eldest one. A few minutes later, she heard a knock on the front door. She wiped her hands and quickly ran towards the door only to be greeted with...
"Good Morning, Boss!"
She smiled warmly and shook her head in disbelief as she watched her husband and children bounding in through the front door, their cheeks flushed from the sun and laughter still lingering in their voices. They had just returned from an impromptu camping trip, a spontaneous adventure that had taken them away for the past two days. Hence, their absence during Rudra's homecoming.
"Freshen up yourselves I'm making breakfast for Rudra, I have to go." said, Bhanumati. The siblings' eyes widened in delight. "Annaya vachesada?" they exclaimed, dashing towards his room to wake him up. Just as the three Mouseketeers disappeared upstairs, Kailash walked into the kitchen, wrapping his arms around his wife's waist, and putting his head on her shoulder.
She smiled. "I'm finally blessed by my goddess. She has graced me with her beautiful smile." flirted Kailash. Bhanumati blushed at his words. "Ahaan, what's gotten into my old man? Did you miss me too much? The children might be here any minute. Let me make breakfast" she swatted him and started cutting the vegetables. "That's why the first thing did was to hug you. But you're being heartless, depriving me of affection. I missed you biwi." He spoke ever so softly pulling her into his embrace. She hugged him back, teasingly telling him the truth, "I missed you too Mr Singh".
Their moment was interrupted by loud hoots from their children, causing them to pull away immediately. Bhanumati looked flushed while Kailash just looked annoyed. "Intha podhunne romance entamma?" Rudra questioned his mother. She was quickly hidden in Kailash's chest. "Don't tease my wife, Major Rudra. My wife, my romance! Who are you to question me? He just returned yesterday and he's already in my way from romancing my biwi." deadpanned Kailash. The others had a good laugh. Kailash slowly separated himself from Bhanumati and walked towards Rudra. "Welcome home, my boy!" he said proudly enveloping him in a fatherly hug. "Thanks, Papa. I see you still have the charm on amma eh?" With that, the family erupted in laughs.
Soon enough, the same energy was carried through breakfast. The younger siblings, Viraj, Adhitya and Gowri had retired to their rooms to rest after the scrumptious meal, tiredness from the trip taking its effects on them. Now it was just the elder couple with their firstborn. Slowly the air surrounding them had a slight weight to it.
"What is it guys? You both look like you're about to drop a bomb on me" Rudra said solemnly.
"Adhi kadhura. Your papa and I have decided on something. We've had this conversation earlier but we won't proceed if you're uncomfortable." told his mother worriedly. He motioned for his dad to speak. "Rudra, my boy, we think it's time for you to get married. You're turning 32 this year. I'm afraid you've been alone for too long. You need a partner who will always cherish you and love you." spoke Kailash with concern.
Rudra knew that he would have to confront this conversation sooner or later, but this was happening too quickly. His mood soured; he was no longer the cheerful man he had been just moments ago. Instead, he became the reclusive, closed-off, and broken Rudra he had become. "Amma, Papa, you can ask anything of me. Anything but this. You know what happened last time. Yet you're asking me to find love again?" he said, his voice tinged with vulnerability. "She has done enough damage. I'm still not done fixing myself. What makes you think another woman would be happy with me; an emotionally unavailable husband, a person with so many scars of the past, a person who's scared to feel the breeze of love itself?" he questioned with unshed tears in his honey brown eyes.
"My boy. Not only me but your mother had also informed you about our unsettling feelings towards her ever since you brought her to meet us. You know how much Gowri looks up to you. Even she had thought the idea of both of you together was a bad idea. We had warned you countless times Rudra" his father spoke. "Why don't you tell me directly that you've already chosen the girl for me? It's not like you were going to stop this anyway. Do whatever you both want!" Rudra stormed out of the house.

Well, that was better than I expected. At least my anger didn't break out like it did the last time. My anger is synonymous with destruction. Be it to myself or the people around me. I have a lot of apologizing to do when I go back home. I still remember Amma's expression when I stormed out. But I'd rather run out like that a thousand times rather than show the destructiveness and chaos my anger could cause. They're my parents. No doubt, they want me to lead a life full of happiness like theirs but is possible for me?
I'm currently sitting in this beautiful cafe near home with the boys. They're always here when I need them, they're practically family. It's comforting having them around me. Now, I'm not angry like I was earlier. Thanks to my brothers/ jokers.
"Rey, entra alochistunnav? Ponle ra. Uncle and Auntie want you to be happy. They said nothing wrong but your situation is such. There's no point in blaming both parties." said, Vikram. I nodded and stared into space. Reyaan decided it was time to divert our focus to the food. "Guys, let's focus on the food. Everything looks mouthwatering; I don't even know where to start from." I chuckled and started digging in, everyone following suit.
Food and conversations go hand in hand. We shared jokes and laughs here and there, making the atmosphere light up. Just then, I heard the bell of the cafe's door. All our eyes were glued to the door as a group of women walked in with alluring laughs and pretty eyes. "Looks like our future wives are here" commented Gautam. "What the hell, G! Just because they're pretty we can't marry them" complained Reyaan. "I have a feeling Gautam is right. Entha andhangaa unnaru chudu", Vikram spoke with a mesmerized look in his eyes.
My eyes had moved to the group of women who had just walked in. All of them are beautiful. But one woman stands out. The one in the white kurti, with the most beautiful and expressive deep brown eyes lined with kohl. Her beautiful long hair and those jhumkas move together with her head. I've never seen someone this captivating. She looks heaven-sent!
Don't judge me, I'm an army man and I look into things very quickly. They all are now seated, having their fair share of talks and giggles. What surprises me is that she never spoke. Not once. Huh, strange! I'm looking forward to listening to her voice.
Suddenly, it's as if things happen in slow motion. A fight breaks out, she and her friends are in an argument with a group of boys from their neighbouring table. Things are starting to get heated. "Guys, I think we should intervene before whatever argument they're having doesn't blow out of proportion," I say and the boys agree and move towards where the argument is going on.
Just when we could get a clear view and before any of us could say something, I gasped. She punched one of the guys, right in his face making his nose bleed. We just froze in our places. "Cute anukunna kaani intha gattiga koduthundenti aa abyaani" questioned Gautam. I still wasn't out from my shock. It happened so quickly. Soon enough she broke the guy's hand. I've seen multiple women in the Indian Army fight. They're impressive and strong. But looking at this goddess in front of me, I know deep down she's not angry, she's in a rage.
Baboi! Intha violent ga undhenti! Looks like this is my meet c̶u̶t̶e̶ violent! The fire in her eyes says it all.
