12 years ago||Windsor's\Third person POV

War.

Windsor didn't understand. War? As in fighting with those big shiny swords against people, but why?

After being reassured by his mother several times that he would be okay, he went to sleep. He whispered to his small teddy bear that everything will also be alright, though he wasn't sure himself. He jolted awake to screaming, glass shattering. "Mom?! Dad?!" He screamed, getting out of bed and bringing his bear with him, doing his best to avoid the small pieces of glass on the floor. He ran as fast as his mini legs would let him, only to be lifted off his feet by his dad. "Dad?! Whats going on! Wheres mom??"

"Moms busy buddy. She's fine. I'm fine. We need to get out of here okay?" His dad quickly secured Windsor in his arms, grabbing a small sword to defend himself with, and ran out the house, dodging flying arrows and nearby fires that were spreading. The air was thick with ash and smoke, making it hard to breathe. Windsor looked around frantically for his mom, but couldn't see anything much, except...

Red liquid.

A lot of it.

He didn't know what it was. He had seen the liquid before once, when he was playing tag with his friends and tripped, and a bit of that same reddish liquid spilled out from scraping his knee. His parents had told him once before that the liquid was called blood. Was that the same liquid he saw just now on the ground? And if so, why?

Sssshhhhhhhhh... BOOM!!!!

Windsor screamed as he was thrown into the air from the blast, now being separated from his father. He crashed into some debris from a burnt down home. He cried as he felt pain corse through his entire body, as some of that same red liquid known as blood, spilled out of his body. "HELP HELP! DAD?! MOM?!" He screamed as loud as his vocal cords would let him. Distant screams filled the air, people continuing to flee their homes with children and the elderly. This only made the boy panic more, as he slowly, shakily stood up, looking around at all the chaos surrounding him. He tried searching for his family, but to no avail. He felt a burning sensation as he walked through the huge fire spreading throughout the village, his vision becoming blurry from all the ash. Smoke entered his lungs as he coughed, falling to his knees and his head hitting the ground. He saw a glimpse of his mother and tried reaching out for her, seeing a metal blade shoved through her torso. He screamed and then...

Darkness.

....................................................................................................................................

"Mom...? Mom!!" Windsor called out, seeing his mom standing in front him. Everything around them was complete darkness stretching out for miles. He ran and hugged his mom. "Mom... whats going on?? I lost dad after I was thrown into some rubble! I can't find him and its very hard  to breathe!" He looked up at his mom. She had beautiful green eyes, long and lucious blonde hair falling just beneath her shoulders. Windsor had always called her a pretty little mom angel sent from the skies, as she acted just like one too. She would always be patient around Windsor, even when he was doing something he shouldn't be doing in the first place. She always wanted to be a good example for him, and teach him the things she was taught when she was young.
