Elwia did in fact wake up with a cold the next morning, but it had been worth it, for she had really enjoyed her moment with Harry. The only bad thing was that today was going to be the quidditch tryouts for the position of Slytherin chaser. Elwia felt nervous; it was going to be so embarrassing if she didn't get chosen. Elwia knew she was good, but what if the captain had some prejudices against girls playing quidditch?

Some seventh-year Miles Bletchley was the quidditch captain; he was also the keeper. Adrian and Blaise were chasers, Grabbe and Goyle, the stupid oafs, were beaters, and Malfoy was a seeker.

"You'll do great, Wia. I'm sure you're even better than Adrian and Blaise." Astoria smiled and nudged Elwia gently.

"You need to eat something." Pansy said and threw a sausage at Elwia's plate with a light laugh.

Elwia chuckled at her two friends and started eating. She might've known Tori and Pansy only for two months, but in her heart, Elwia knew she loved those two girls. She loved everything about them, from their rare downsides to their many perks.

"Nervous, frenchie?" Malfoy asked and sat down next to Elwia.

"No. Why are you sitting next to me? You smell like a ferret." Elwia sneered and acted like she was about to puke.

"Literally shut up, it's not funny." Malfoy rolled his eyes.

"Whatever you say, bleach blondie." Elwia laughed.

"For the thousandth time, I am a natural blonde." Malfoy said angrily before taking a bite out of his green apple for which he had a weird obsession for.

"I don't care." Elwia answered and continued eating.

Elwia left breakfast a little early, since she wanted to go practise her chaser skills before flying in front of a lot of people. She had last flown her broom in August, which made Elwia really hope that her skills hadn't gotten rusty.

The walk to the quidditch field was long, probably 20 minutes. It was a cold morning, even though the sun was shining. The grass was covered with snow, and when exhaling the breath Elwia had been holding, it turned into fog.

It took Elwia a while to find the locker rooms, and after 10 minutes of searching, the girl realised there wasn't a locker room for girls in Slytherin. Elwia opened the door to the Slytherin boys' locker, and a terrible odour conquered her nose.

"Ew, what the fuck?" Elwia gagged, and pinched her nose to block out the smell.

Elwia opened a locker that said 'spare clothes' and tried her best to find the most clean one. Luckily, she found one that smelled somewhat decent, but it was way too big for her.

"Reducio." Elwia casted.

Elwia started removing her clothes and put them in one of the empty lockers. She quickly put on the quidditch uniform since she was kind of scared someone would come in and open the door.

There were a few spare brooms in the corner; they were all new and the best of their kind. Elwia didn't have a broom of her own, since in Beauxbatons all the brooms were 'spare', in case someone didn't have enough money to buy themselves a good broom.

Elwia walked outside with the broom in her hand and immediately flew up into the air. It felt amazing to fly after such a long time; she had missed the air breeze running through her raven hair. Elwia looked over to the stands and saw a familiar young girl's face there. The girl's blonde hair was up in ponytails, and she was excitedly enthusiastically watching Elwia through her pink-framed glasses. Poppy Adams.

Poppy waved at Elwia with a broad smile, prompting Elwia to fly over to the stands to greet her.

"What are you doing here?" Elwia asked her, a bit confused, although she didn't mind.
