Chapter Three - Welcome In

Zoru POV:

It was finally time to leave the hospital, my wounds were mostly healed and they let me live my normal life.

Once I got home my hand rested on the door knob, relieved to be home and exited to see my brother that has been with our grandparents for all these months.

I opened the door and saw my brother watching TV, he turned his head around and smiled when he saw his brother Zoru.

He ran over and hugged me, and I grunted from impact.

"Hey Diam, how long have you been home alone?" I looked down at him hugging me.

"Maybe 15 minutes, grandma and grandpa just left." He slowly loosened his grip and looked up at me.

"I've missed you..." They both said in sync, followed with light laughter.

I checked the time and sighed, my hand ruffled Diam's hair. "It's eight-thirty, get to bed little man."

I laughed and Diam pulled away, he turned off the TV and headed upstairs quickly, leaving me behind in silence.

Eventually I brushed my teeth, put on pyjamas, and made my way into my room. I closed the door, plopping down on my bed with a long sigh.

Y/n POV:

Little did he know, I followed him home. Talk about stalkers. I wanted to make sure he was ok so I perched up in a tree, watching like a hawk as he interacted with his brother.

Soon enough he was in his own room, I saw his clock on his bedside table. It read 8:59, almost when she would visit him in the hospital.

I leapt down from the tree and grabbed onto a brick that wasn't in the house all the way, pulling myself up and grabbing the bottom of his window.

The time was 9:00 and I managed to open his window, causing him to jump slightly.

"Why the fuck are you at my window, it's 9PM! AND HOW DO YOU KNOW WHERE I LIVE?" He sat up, moving his body closer to his pillow.

"Sorry, I followed you." I went through his window and landed on his bed. "Hm, nice room."

Zoru seemed dumbfounded, "That's no fucking reason to crawl into my room uninvited?"

I closed his window and sat on his floor, sighing. "Sorry, I'm just bored. Also i-"

I was cut off when his door opened, revealing Diam who opened it. Diam looked at Zoru, then quickly noticed y/n.

Everyone looked at each other.
"Diam it's not what you think-" Zoru spoke up to Diam.

"I know, I'm just confused that the city villain is sitting on your floor?"

I stood up and walked over to him, "Hi I'm y/n! Nice to m-"

"I swear if you hurt him-" Zoru cut in.

I sighed, "Nice to meet you..." I stuck out my hand and waited for him to take it, if he wanted to.

Diam looked over at Zoru for permission, Zoru hesitantly nodded and Diam shook Y/n's hand.

I smiled and Diam seemed to ever so slightly lighten up.

"I-im Diam..." He eventually put both arms by his side, looking in between the two.

"So, are you two busy-?" Diam pointed in between them. Then both y/n and Zoru spoke in sync, "No!"

Y/n giggled slightly. "I'm just visiting for... Craps and giggles?" I turned to Zoru and whispered towards him. "Can I cuss in front of him?"

Zoru chuckled. "Yeah it's fine."

I turned back to Diam, "I'm visiting for shits and giggles."

Diam raised as brow. "Ok... Well I'm going back to bed, goodnight you two." Diam backed out of the room and closed the door, walking down the hallway into his own room.

After staring at the door for awhile I turned to Zoru. "Anyways... Can I sleep here tonight?"

Zoru gave me THAT look, the one that's like 'who do you think your are?'

"Why? How do I know you're not going to kill me or my brother in our sleep, or rob us?" He crossed his legs and faced Y/n.

"I'm hiding from the cops until they cool down for the night, and if anything happens I'll let you kill me the next time you catch me?" I crossed my legs as well, staring up at him from the carpet floor.

Zoru narrowed his eyes, almost glaring at me. Then he finally sighed.

"Fine, you can sleep here- BUT NO SHENANIGANS!" He pointed his finger at me, then smiled and laid back down in his bed.

Y/n laid on the floor and stretched out. "This is the warmest floor I've ever laid on..." It felt amazing, well... better than the cold rooftops of a bank I guess?

Zoru hummed, observing Y/n on the floor. He pulled the covers up to his upper waist, putting his arm under his head and turning off his lamp with the other.

"Goodnight y/n, don't make me regret this..."
He mumbled as he closed his eyes and slowly started to drift off into sleep.

"Mk..." I stretched out again and started to drift off to sleep aswell, curling up on the floor and breathing lightly.

Zoru and I slowly but surely both fell asleep, I almost felt... Safe, in his room. It was probably nothing though.
