II. Sunset

When you plant a sprout
You keep watering it until it becomes a nice flower
But you can't just end its life
By cutting it, by taking it with you at any hour.
You can't prevent a bird from flying
Because you liked the sight of it
In your palms
As you can't prevent a baby
From learning how to walk
Because you liked the feeling of it
In your arms.
You can't keep holding on to something that is over
Hoping that it will come back.
Hoping that in a huge field
You'll manage to find a single four-leaf clover.

The memories are still there.
Turning into stars.
Millions of them.
Admiring them from distance.
You're still trying to catch them,
Even if they deteriorate your old scars.
Trying to feel them.
Even if  they burn you,
You keep seeing them as wonderful sparks.

But the sun is still rising every day.
A reminder that something new is coming.
Something that might be here to stay.
You can't stay stuck in the past,
Wishing that you could keep freezing it.
But, still, I can't help but ask...

The sunset is beautiful, isn't it ?
