can't sleep.

I looked at the clock on my wall.

11:09 pm.

How the hell...?

I've been tossing and turning in my bed all night, slightly jumping at every small sound.

I sit up, my eyes well adjusted to the darkness. I rub my eyes, my posture basically equivalent to a shrimp.

That's when I hear a *knock knock*.

I jump slightly, my eyes fixated on the door, expecting one of my parents to walk in. But that familiar creek of it opening is absent.

Knock Knock.

My head whips to my window.

I get a *ding* from my phone.

I grab it off my bedside table, my eyes squinting to the brightness.

Aiden...?

——————————
aiden-wanna go 4 a walk? i'm already knocking on your window haha

ashlyn (you)-why the hell would i walk around at 11?

aiden—because why not???? pls

ashlyn (you)—the best you'll get is a hour in my room before we shift. i'll open my window.

aiden—fine with me!!!!!!!!!!!
—————————

Well that was a bit...random.

But I mean, Its Aiden. He's just like that.

Psychotic, Hyper, Cute...

Wait, what?

I run my hand through my (loose) hair, and knowing that he probably won't leave.

I crawl out of bed, and open the window, trying to be as quiet as I can be.

Aiden—"I knew it."

Before I can make a snarky reply, a cold wisp of air hit me, sending shivers down my body.

I know I get cold easily, but how the hell is Aiden unfazed by this?

Ashlyn—"It's cold as hell. I am definitely not risking getting my hair frozen off."

Aiden rolled his red eyes, knowing it was the truth. (the cold part, not the hair freezing off)

Aiden—"Fine, we won't walk. But I didn't walk here for nothing. Can I come in?"

Ashlyn—"Yeah sure, I don't really see why not. Just be quiet."

He crawls through the window, being surprisingly quiet, considering he's Aiden.

Ashlyn—"Want me to turn on the lights?"

Aiden—"No, It's alright."

Aiden's pov

I smirk to myself, looking at the array of blankets compared to the one pillow.

Classic Ash.

I know she'll be cold, so I've strategically left the window open.

Part one of getting her to fall asleep in my arms (and leave without her dad seeing me, and all before midnight) complete.

Side Mission: Get her to wear my hoodie.

Good job, me. (And Ben and Taylor, for hyping me up to actually do this plan.)

Aiden—"Hey...so um..."

I rubbed the back of my neck, maybe forgetting the rest of the plan.

My plan can go right or wrong, depending on what I do.
