The Maine - spiraling

As the days followed, Yuji and Megumi couldn't keep their hands off of each other. From holding hands in the corridors to touching knees under the table at meals; from wrapping their arms around each other in deep conversations to sneaking off to broom closets and common rooms.
Today was no different than usual. Yuji laid in Megumi's arms in his bed in the Ravenclaw dorms. They had woken up not too long ago from another sneaky night together of stargazing. Megumi had one hand tangled in Yuji's hair, the other hand was holding the Daily Prophet as he read.
"Anything interesting?" Yuji asked.
"No," Megumi mumbled and threw the newspaper down on his bedside table.
Yuji grew a mischievous smile and climbed on top of Megumi. Megumi smiled in return and snaked his hands around Yuji's waist.
"Yuj, you know we have to leave soon."
"We can be a few minutes late," Yuji tried to persuade with a few short kisses.
Megumi sat quietly for a moment as he felt the love he was receiving. "Fine, but I will be blaming you."
"Fine by me."

The two boys walked out of Hogwarts North Exit and out alongside the coast of the Black Lake. The day was warm with clear and sunny skies. Just ahead of them, the boys could see their friends by the small pier.
"Kugisaki is going to be pissed off," Megumi commented.
"It's fine. I deal with her wrath everyday," Yuji shrugged off.
"It's about time!" her familiar voice shrieked from the towel on the sand. "We waited on you two for forty minutes by the gate! You could've had the decency to show up on time instead of-"
"Hi, guys!" Yuta's sweet voice interrupted from the water.
"At least someone is excited to see us!" Yuji bit.
"It's not that, you just made us wait in the heat-"
"Give it a rest, Nobara," Maki interrupted her in a whisper. "You act like that hasn't been us a few times."
"Ugh, I don't need to hear about Maki being in love," Mai grumbled from beside them.
"Shut up!" Maki snapped with a glare.
Nobara hushed and settled herself beside Maki. "Someone has to keep them in line."
"Hey, why aren't you in the water?" Yuji asked as he sat his stuff beside Nobara and ignored the conversation.
"Because I have to lay in the sun for an hour before I can award myself. I want to get the best tan possible."
"Hmm, sounds strange to me, but okay," Yuji shrugged.
"That's just a myth," Mai said.
"Maybe, but it's worth a shot!"
