Why do birds suddenly appear?

Shekinah C. Angel does not like sand. He despises the sedentary rocks, especially their course texture. It hurts his soft and slightly sun burnt skin.

On a normal day he would build sandcastles and carve mermaid tails over his buried legs. Or take a sun bathed nap on a summery day. But alas, here he is, stranded in a deserted island in the middle of the blue sea.

His boat -or what used to be a boat- lies next to him in a pile, a campfire, and an SOS formation on the ground. A shipwreck of what once was a luxury mini cruise of gold and ivory.

Angel misses the taste of comfort inside the his boat called the Jolly Eden. His soft bed fit for a king, his kitchen filled with snacks and chilled drinks, the ivory bathtub with perfect heating, and his humble garden chair he keeps at the front deck.

Oh to relive the sound life of his sweet sweet retirement on sea.

Angel closes his eyes as he tries his best to relax his shivering body in the prickly sand he lays on. He pretends he is back in the calm waves of the South East Sea.

Humming, he feels his tired body lax and succumb to rest. The distant squawking of seagulls and the angry waves of the ocean blur in one noise, lulling our sweet Angel into sleep.

"LAND HO!"

"Are you sure this small dingy island holds treasure? A bottled map is not a reliable source after all!"

"Shishishi! Don't you know, Koby? The best kind of buried treasure comes from bottled maps!"

Awoken by the sudden intrusion, Angel blinks as his muddy vision pictures a fishing boat with two males. One wearing a tacky red vest, the other an absolute nerd.

Angel should probably stop judging them as he did trick them with his fake treasure map. Either way he didn't think his plan would work. After all, being rescued by pirates isn't ideal. He'd probably be killed or enslaved the moment they found out there are no buried treasure in the island.

"Aha! Gold! I see gold! Over there by the birds!"

"L-luffy I dont think thats gold... nor are those birds friendly"

Gold there is, yes. Angel's pride and joy - his beautiful golden hair - which is currently an oily mess and in desperate need of a haircut! And said birds are currently pecking away Angel's body! These bastard sky rats thinking our Angel is dead and up for grabs!

*Scoffs* Excuse me! I still have 5 days worth of rations and can at least survive a week more!

"Oh, you're right! It is a dead person"

Rasping out an "Im not dead yet...!", Angel glares as the red vested boy waves out the flock of birds and comes a little bit too close for comfort for Angel

"Wow for a stranded person you look really pretty!"

"Ah Thank you~ I try my best to wash my face everyday in this deserted island with coconut water and-"

"Ah Luffy! We should bring her to our boat and feed her! She's deathly thin!"

Angel glares at the nerd's interruption. How dare he cut off his natural skin care on a deserted island rant! And how dare he comment on his body weight also! His current shape is not far from his usual; on the contrary, he's eating very healthy

"I'm a skinny legend excuse you!" Angel sits up straight with his long flowy hair fall over his shoulder and over his bare chest

The half naked blonde flusters Koby, realizing the pretty lady is actually a bonafide dude. Luffy grins and grabs Angel by the hand and pulls him up from his sandy grave/bed

"Thank you for saving me gentlemen. I have been stuck here for 25 days way too long~ My name is Angel by the way, Shekinah C. Angel"

"My name is Monkey D. Luffy and I'm gonna be the next pirate k-"

"-PIRATE who is gonna find that buried treasure hidden in this island ha ha!" Koby quickly shuts Luffy's mouth

"...so you are pirates?" Angel mutters and steps back from the ocean's thieves duo. He already survived this long, there is no way in hell he's gonna die at the hands of these two twigs of a pirate. His hand slowly reaches for the dagger hidden in his pants.

"Yeah! We're pirates and we found a map that says theres hidden treasure in this island! Unless Koby here misread the directions!" Luffy grins as he proudly waves his so called treasure map

"H-hey! I'm not a pirate! And don't be scared of Luffy either! He doesn't even have a crew yet!" Koby quickly interjects as he noticed the wary look coming from their blonde refugee. "I'm Koby and we're both heading to Shell Island, if you want we can take you there too?"

"A ride to Shell island doesn't sound bad... And save yourselves the wait. There aren't any buried treasure in this island. I made that map so I can trick desperate greedy pirates to come save me." Angel pockets back his dagger and pats out the sand off his body.

After hearing a "thats smart!" quip from Koby and a "the map is a lie!" from Luffy; Angel smugly dug up a hidden sack of berri and gold - and secretly pocketing a handful of berri in his pants. He faces the two with a heavy bag of saved riches "I'll give you all my berri if and only if you give me a ride to Shell island"

"Add your rations in the mix and we've got ourselves a deal!" Luffy eagerly shakes his hand and drops the sack of gold to Koby. The grilled fish and mystery bird by the fire pit looks very appetizing to Luffy right now

Koby gawks at the weight of the bag he was thrown at "This is a lot of coins... Are you sure you can afford to rehab at Shell without any money?"

"I have my ways~" Angel innocently pats Koby's shoulder as he walks pass him and the busy eating Luffy. With a pep in his step he eagerly boards the boat and smiles impatiently at the two

"What are you waiting for? Lets set sail!"
