I ruffled Mephisto's feathers, they smell like her...

"Someone is in good mood." I could inhale her divine scent as if she sprayed her perfume onto him.

"Caw..." His eyes shone brightly. "But I didn't send you there for that." I gently scold him. "CAW." "Her windows where shut and you couldn't spy on those files..." "Caw." Before I could finish, he interjected. "What do you mean 'he' was there?" I pause at the mention of his name.

Mephisto flies back to his usual spot after relaying all information. I scratch my head with the gun, I was previously cleaning. I close my eyes contemplating my next course of action.

I cocked my eyebrows at Mephisto, "She doesn't know about me...does she?" He shakes his head. I look at the red chromium plated gun and chuckle. Then she doesn't even remember who this gun belongs to.

I start humming to the vinyl playing in the background. Chan Wai-han's intoxicating vocals filled the void of this mostly empty room temporarily. Because she is not here to grace us with her presence. This thought suddenly makes my chest hurt as if I'm freshly shot. I close my eyes and pinch my nose bridge.

As I'm deep in my thoughts. Abruptly someone knocks on my door. "Boss, it's time for the meeting." Luke said from the other side. I look over at my clock on my desk, 2:45 am. I exhaled heavily. He doesn't wait for my reply as I could hear his footsteps walking away.

My potted spider-lilies on the window were on full bloom and soaking the moonlight. I sprinkle water. "Seems like you are also in good mood too." I chuckled. N109 Zone was quiet yet lively.

Luke knocks again. "Boss."

"Inform them I'm not coming. I have to run some errands." I ordered.

I rest the gun on the desk. I take out a wine flute and bottle, in reality I want to bask in full moonlight alone uninterrupted.

I twirled the flute, my eyes not breaking eye contact with red intoxicating liquid. I loosen up my tie and roll up the sleeves, I ain't going anywhere. At least not for a long while.

"Caw...?" Mephisto chirped inquisitively.

"Yes, I'm going to play the organ."

I dusted the instrument as I played vinyl suitable to accompany the instrument.

I inhaled and exhaled heavily as I cracked all of my knuckles possible. It has been more or less than a decade since I touched it. As I touched my first key, it brought back some old buried memories.

Wine drunk, I hallucinated about her, wearing a deep burgundy dress with a plunge neckline, her deep cherry coke hair pinned up in a dainty bun adorned with pearl and diamonds arranged as flowers. Her bright eyes reflecting the moon's aura.

My mouth curves into a smile reminiscing my last memory of her.

As I played the last few notes of the song. I hear wanderers shrieking from a distance. It is N109 Zone after all, nothing is out of ordinary.

But to my amusement Mephisto darts out of the window.

I set aside the empty bottle and the flute. No matter how expensive is the wine, it can't fill the emptiness of my heart. I leaned on the window. Linkon City looked lively in contrast to now forgotten N109 Zone even if it is blanketed under thick clouds.

I sigh out of relief when I thought of her sleeping in the comfort of her house. I rake my hair. I fidgeted with lighter in my hand. N109 Zone has nothing to hide, while Linkon City is built on sweet lies. Lies that give hope. But farce hope is more lethal than the bitter truth. At the end the hope would get crushed anyway.

Mephisto's caws echo as lightning and thunder rips the sky apart.

My eyes widen. "No." I wail in disbelief as took the gun and I rush towards outdoors. I can't lose her again. I grab my bike keys and pair of helmets.

Luke and Kieran exchanged glances among themselves after seeing me in such urgency. "Boss..." "I'll explain you this later." I quickly shut them off.

I drove the maximum speed my bike can handle tearing through the heavy rain and lightning.

And there she was drenched fighting a horde of wanderers.

I threw the gun towards her. While she used both her evol and weapon to fight, I was mainly using my evol.

She panted heavily as we killed the last of wanderer.

I thought Mephisto said she fell asleep then what she is doing here.

(Sheu Li P.O.V.)

I twisted and turned but I couldn't fall asleep.

I finally got up. Sleeping is useless now. Before I wanted wait for sunrise to visit N109 Zone but the suspense was killing me. I picked up my phone should I call Xavier to tag along...? At the end I decided against it. I'm capable enough alone. Anyways how much dangerous is N109 Zone anyways?

I take Yingzhou's bike out of my garage. Even though one should always put forth their safety first, I can't find any helmet nearby.

The sky is shielded with clouds, it seems its going to rain heavily. Thankfully my phone is water resistant as half way I reached my destination, it starts pouring heavily. My evol starts acting crazy as I navigated my way to N109 Zone. Shit, wanderers.

Before I could react, I'm thrown out of my bike. Luckily, I'm able to maintain my balance before I hit the ground.

I'm soaked from my hair till my panties down there in rain, but these wanderers don't stop attacking.

Suddenly I hear loud mechanical cawing as it starts thundering. Why does it seem so familiar...?

Soon, I start wearing out and my weapon is running out of bullets. Suddenly a man hands me over a gun, "Don't use such outdated weapons. Here, take this." It took him barely twenty minutes to clear out the wanderers only with his evol.

I gasp heavily, if I wasn't tired before I'm definitely tired own. I slowly take notice of the man. He is ethereally beautiful in rain. The wet clothes take the mold of his body.

"Miss, you new here?" He asked, looking genuinely concern.

"My name is Sheu Li, I'm a hunter at UNICORN. I'm here to find information about Onychinus." I tried to give him an assuring smile.
