Guy was lying in his bed. Despite the two blankets he was wrapped in, he was still shivering. He sniffed loudly and shut his tired eyes as a warm hand pressed against his forehead. The thermometer was pulled out of his mouth, and he heard his mother sigh.

"You have a fever. I'll be right back, okay sweetheart?"

"M'kay," Guy mumbled. As his mother padded out of the room, he heard another set of footsteps walk toward him. His bed creaked under the weight of someone sitting next to him.

"Are you genuinely sick or are you faking it?"

Guy cracked open his eyes to glare at his sister.

"Do I look like I'm faking it?"

She regarded him briefly before saying, "You do look uglier than usual."

"Kelly, be nice to your brother." His mom walked up with a water-soaked hand towel and placed it on Guy's forehead. "I'm going to make you pickled lime and cinnamon soup."

Kelly shuddered dramatically and Guy stuck his tongue out with a grimace. "Moooommmmm. That isn't gonna help meeeee," Guy whined.

"Don't knock it till you try it dear." With that, Mrs. Hamdon left the room.

"Kill me now Kels."

Kelly peered at him and forced a smile. "I'm sure it won't be that bad."

Guy sniffed and said, "A horror documentary could be made on that thing."

Kelly grimaced and leaned back slightly. "It does help a good chunk of the time and you sound really stuffed up. Maybe it would be good to just suck it up this time."

Guy just sneezed in response. Kelly rolled her eyes and got up, walking to his desk and grabbing tissues. On her way back, she glanced out the window and stopped dead in her tracks. "Oh my goddess, you have an idiot for a best friend," Kelly muttered.

Normally Guy would fight her on this statement, but right now he was just too tired. His body ached and his head hurt like crazy. Guy screwed his eyes shut and wiggled deeper into his warm, soft blankets. He felt his mind start to drift to his magical dreamland when he heard the noise of his window opening. His sister spoke in harsh whispers he couldn't quite decipher, and he heard a small thud.

"Dude! Are you ready?"

Guy peeled his eyes open to the sight of his best friend. Guy's eyes widened and he sat up a little. "When did you get here? And what am I supposed to be ready for?"

"Mr. Doesn't-know-how-to-use-a-door came through the window," Kelly hissed.

Maz excitedly shook his hands as he explained. "Zombatic Fracture 39: Return of the Black Revenge is being released at 5 p.m.! We had to be in line an hour ago!"

Guy slumped onto his pillows. "I totally forgot about that," he groaned.

"Are you sick?" Maz asked, concern heavy in his voice.

"What gave it away?" Kelly sassed.

"He sounds really stuffed up."

"I wonder if SheZow has a cold too," Guy questioned. He sat up and swung his fist out with a, 'You go, girl.'

A quick flash of pink light engulfed the room. When it died down, Guy was sitting in the SheZow costume. While he didn't look as sick as before, the bags under his eyes and his sniffing made it apparent he was still under the weather.

"Transforming into SheZow doesn't seem to make a sickness's effects disappear. Interesting," Kelly murmured, walking away in search of a pen and paper.

Maz took the spot Kelly had previously occupied and handed Guy a tissue. Guy mumbled his thanks and sneezed.

"Bless you," Kelly called from her spot at the desk.

Guy hummed his appreciation as Maz wrapped a blanket around his shoulders.

"Sorry for messing up our plans."

"Dude, it's not your fault," Maz exclaimed. He pulled out his phone and started typing away. "Besides, Vincent, Elliot, and Vanessa are already in line for it. I'm sure if I ask, they'll get us one."

"Yeah," Guy sighed. He held his tissue up to his nose and sneezed again. Maz glanced over and started to say 'bless you', before completely freezing. Guy watched him with a confused look.

"Maz?"

Maz unfroze, the shocked expression melting into concern. He bit his lip and called out Kelly's name.

Kelly looked up from her clipboard and sighed.

"What do you nee-"

Kelly's mouth dropped open when she caught sight of Guy.

"What is with you two?" Guy questioned.

Kelly pulled a handheld mirror from goddess knows where and held it up to Guy's face. Guy peered into the mirror with squinted eyes. What he saw was almost completely normal. The only thing that was different was his ears. They had gone from small and round, to something that resembled elf ears. Guy scrunched his eyebrows in aggravation and leaned against Maz.

"I need Shelia, now."

"Sup, Shelia."

Guy's heels clicked on the smooth lair floor, the blanket still wrapped around his shoulders. Maz walked beside him, helping him keep his balance. Kelly was behind them, furiously scribbling away in a notebook.

"Oh dear. Are you alright?"

"No," Kelly answered for him. "He's not."

"Can you scan him?" Maz asked sincerely.

"Of course."

A pink light bathed Guy. Maz watched nervously, Kelly bit her nail. Shelia finished up her scan and hummed.

"So?" Kelly pressed.

"You are suffering from a super illness. If you don't treat it soon, it will get much worse and can last up to a month."

"A month!" Maz exclaimed.

"How in the world do we treat this?" Kelly stressed.

"It's quite simple," Shelia responded. "All you need is three ingredients."

"That should be easy," Guy mumbled.

"You need to get a rock from the moon, a tail feather from the extinct Momo bird located in Nerdestain, and a stick of gum."

"You just had to jinx it," Kelly grumbled. She then shifted her attention. "Maz, can you drive?"

Maz lit up. "Let's go! Awesome town, population me!" Maz gently pulled on Guy's arm. "Come on!"
