Damon and I spent time dancing a bit before we decided to go out for some fresh air. I was feeling a bit uncomfortable being in such a small space with a ton of people surrounding me.

And also because we needed something to do since neither of us had anything to say. He wasn't the type to talk a lot or start a conversation, so it was mostly just me trying to keep the air lively.

Ever since the question about whether he had attended prom came up, he has been very deep in thought, which makes it hard for me to talk, for I don't know if I would accidentally discuss something he isn't fond of.

It appears that there is something troubling him, and as much as I would like to ask, I couldn't. If he doesn't want to tell me, then there is nothing I could do about it.

In the meantime, I have noticed that Catalina and Hassan are hitting it off very well, and it is honestly amazing.

It is like they are old friends separated for so many years, and now they have finally got the chance to meet each other again or something.

I'm happy for her.

...

Damon walks with me by my side to the exit, the same place where I followed him a while ago.

The path isn't as empty as it was now since there are students leaving, just not a lot since most of them are still inside, and going home at this time is considered early.

Out of the blue, I hear somebody running towards us from behind.

"Why the hell did you kiss her?!" A loud voice booms into my right ear, making me flinch and look over to find Keith throwing a punch at us.

"Ah!" I gasp as I drop my eyelids down in instinct, darting my palms up around my face to maybe protect myself with them.

But nothing seems to crash into me as a loud bang abruptly emits on my left side, making me flinch again.

"You want to be fucked up?!" Damon shouts and that's when I find myself peeling back my eyelids to see.

I see Keith having his neck held by one of Damon's hands as his back glues to a deformed locker. I assume the loud sound earlier was caused by him being thrown at it.

Damon has his other free hand in the air already formed into a fist aiming directly at Keith's face.

Keith tries to free himself from Damon's grasp by hitting Damon's hand, but he can't and Damon doesn't seem to be fazed by that at all.

Keith's face gradually turns purple as he struggles to say something with his mouth open, which makes me look down to find that his legs are almost dangling in the air!

Damon is going to strangle him to death!

"Damon, stop!" I run over to Damon and hold onto his hand that is grabbing Keith's neck.

With myself standing facing him and my back facing Keith, I look into his eyes but they are not focused on me, they are focused on Keith instead. Through them, I see so much anger within and it looks like he has the intention to kill Keith!

"Stop!" I yell again when I see him not responding to me and try to use all my strength to pull his hand away, but his hand is hard like stone and no matter what I do, he never yields.

"Damon!" I call him again and try and try to pry his hand off Keith.

I glance around the background in distress, silently begging for some help just to see that more and more people are surrounding us. But they all just stand there, watching.
