Chapter 3 [Awkward apology]

"Hmm? What do you want to tell me, Ema?" Said Learille.

"You shouldn't-" Before Ema could finish her sentence someone spoke up running their way.

"Learille!" Learille looked behind them it was Jake suddenly running towards them. "I have something to tell you."

Faith and Learille were stunned Jake has Never called Learille by her first name it was always a nickname and whatnot

Jake now infront of the girls out of breath says "I need a word with you alone."

Ofcourse Learille wasn't stupid enough to go anywhere alone with Jake so she simply said "Im good thanks."

Jake out of breath exclaimed "im being serious here!, listen atleast."

Jake looking slightly embarrassed said
"I-im sorry for everything I did, and uh I hope you forgive me for all the bullying I did."

Faith was too stunned to speak while Ema just looked at the situation with a disappointed face.

"Why are you suddenly apologizing now, you've bullying me for years,and you think this crap of an apology can fix it all?"
Exclaimed Learille

"Im already embarrassed here apologizing at the middle of the school cafeteria you don't have to make it worse, and I'm sorry okay, I know it can't fix everything but atleast I tried apologizing."
Jake scoffs and leaves the school cafeteria embarrassed.

Learille thought to herself.
"First, im almost expelled then i meet Hiro and now Jake apologized? Too much is happening in one day."

"Did Jake just-."
Said Faith astonished.

"Hey, what'd I miss?"
Said Hiro carrying four trays

"Well Jake just-"before faith could finish Learille said
"No, you didn't miss anything."

They continued the whole day laughing and talking sometimes getting caught by the teachers everything seemed fine though Ema just kept quiet following them from behind.

[The end of school]

"Are you two gonna go home now?"
Said Learille

Hiro nodded
"Yeah we are, what about you two?"

"Well, Learille likes to read books at the library before she leaves and I just stick to her."said Faith

"Okay I guess we'll go now, bye!"
The three waved goodbye and Ema just stayed by Hiro's side silently.

"Can you wait here a bit Faith, i forgot something at P.E."
Said Learille

Learille dashed through the halls,seems like the object she forgot was important

When Learille opened the gym door a girl exited the gym bumping into Learille making them tumble to the ground

The girl had glasses and looked pretty shy she dropped all the documents she had when bumping into Learille.
"Sorry, sorry!"
Said the girl
"It's okay."

Said Learille helping the girl pick up the documents and helping her up
"Im Learille, and you are?"
"Im."
Long pause
"Hailey."
"Nice to meet you Hailey"

Hailey struggled to make eye contact
"N-nice to meet you too, Learille."
"Need any help?"
Said Learille
Hailey exclaimed
"Oh no no no no, im fine thanks."
A stack of  documents fall from Hailey
"Are you sure?"said Learille
"M-maybe a need a bit."

Learille chuckled

"Sure wait here a bit."
Learille entered the gym and returned with a keychain in her hand then she put it in her pocket.
Learille helped Hailey carry the documents to the teachers office.

[skip]
"T-thanks for your h-help."
Said Hailey.
"Anytime Hailey, oh and I have a question."
"Hm?"
"Can I have your number?"
"I-uhh- uhm s-sure,w-what for?"
"So I can help you next time."
"O-oh okay here's my n-number"
Hailey gives her number to Learille and they went their separate ways.

[At the exit gate]

Faith tired of waiting finally See's Learille returning
"Lea! What'd you lose,A FAMILY HEIRLOOM OR SOMETHING?! OR BETTER YET A FRIDGE!"

"Im sorry Faith i forgot you were waiting."
"Lets just go already!."

The two walk home.

Faith and Learille live pretty close that's why they walk home together every weekday.
