Chapter-1 | The other part of the world

                           

She is standing in front of the art portrait of Wang So, holding grief on her heart and tears falling down her eyes. She just got a flashback of the time, where she spent her rest of the life during Goryeo era and also died in a body which she shifted through time travelling by almost dying on the lake on a solar eclipse day while saving a kid from drowning. She also remembers the mesmerizing, lovely, sweet, sour, heartbreaking and resentful days with all the 8 princes and her people there. She clearly remembers the brutal death of the innocent young prince and her wife by the king, she also didn't forget how her mother-like figure lady got killed for saving her life and her cousin passing away miserably. She also remembers the unforgettable death of her two friends- Chae Ryung, Woo Hee. There are more which she remembers and finally she realizes that all of those weren't just nightmares or dreams, rather it was a living nightmare where she existed.

Soo fell down, her heart is breaking into pieces. She is crying with guilt and misery for leaving Wang So behind all alone. It has been years. Now Wang So aka Gwangjong only exists in the history. She couldn't be the queen of Wang So nor could stay by his side, which is more pathetic is that her beloved had to lead the rest of his life with that one woman and continue ruling the nation as it was written on the kingdom rules. He probably had sons with the queen and ruled the nation being the strongest and powerful monarch for the next decades. But, was he happy? "Did my Wang so lived happily ever after without me or was he just a miserable, lonely monarch without me?", So wonders with grief.

At that very moment, someone gave a handkerchief to Soo so that she could clean her tears and calm down herself.

"Why do I always find you crying?", says the man with a love in his tone. That voice seemed so familiar to So. She instantly looks behind thinking who could that be. That's no one else but the face she was mourning to see again. So asks, "Wang..So? I'm not hallucinating again am I? I missed you so much, sorry for leaving you alone like that".
"Yeah, it is that face, that terrifying monarch in a fancy, elegant suit? That's impressive", Soo mumbles on her mind and hugs him with teary eyes.
That man with Wang's face pushes her away and says, "uh miss! You're mistaken, who's Wang Soo! That monarch on the Art piece? How can that be me, I'm not a goblin that I would live this long haha."

Soo gets very disappointed that it's not Wang So. It's just a random man with her lover's face. After that she leaves the place and goes home. Soo thinking, "What was that! What's happening with me today, I think I really need a rest. Should I see a doctor?"

Soo took a day off from work to get better. She was thinking of visiting her mom's place as she missed her a lot and couldn't meet her in that Goryeo life. It's a good day to go out honestly, So went out wearing a pretty outfit and makeup. After reaching her mom's, she found her doing house chores. She also cooked So's favourite dishes. She had a fulfilled lunch at her mom's place and was finally feeling refreshing again. Then suddenly a man's voice whispered into her ears saying, " Miss you wansum Soju?" She got frightened like who the heck is that!?? It was no one else but her "lost monarch lover" looking man again.

She sighed. "Mister, what are you doing here now? Are you stalking me frr now?", says Hae Soo. "Uhm you're absolutely right miss. I had to stalk you to get you back this id card you left behind at the gallery yesterday! Now, may I get any thankful price for saving your life miss silly?", says that man teasing Soo.

Glaring at the weird man's face Soo leaves the place and goes back to her room. "Why did even mom let that man enter our home like that anyways! Guess I have to look into his identity and info now. He is so sus and something is not adding up to my memory." "Yeah, that old man from the hysterical gallery museum might know something. He was in that  Goryeo era with me too as an astrologer. Then again, he was an ordinary old begger, who was starving on the street while I poured him a drink before drowning and almost dying on the lake", says Soo on her mind.

"Yeah, that's it! I must find that old man and ask him about this complicated & mysterious double life thing I'm having right now. This is insane!!"

Soo ends up sleeping in her room for almost 3 hours while thinking about all of that stuff and when she wakes up, she has found the man already gone from there. Her mom says, the gentleman has bade good bye and left this letter for her. She embarrassingly snatched the letter from her mom's hand thinking what he might write?!
