After our conversation, we made a plan. Ethan would return to America, finish his last month of high school, and then come back to Italy to be with me. He would tell his parents that he was going to college in Italy and traveling the world. We hoped that this would give us the time we needed to build our life together.

The next month passed slowly, each day filled with anticipation and longing. We stayed in touch through messages and video calls, but it wasn't the same as being together. Finally, the day came when Ethan was due to return.

I stood at the airport, my heart pounding with excitement. When I saw him coming through the gate, I felt a rush of joy and relief. I ran to him, pulling him into a tight embrace.

"Ethan," I whispered, my voice choked with emotion. "I missed you so much."

"I missed you too, Philip," he replied, holding me close.

We drove back to the mansion, where my family welcomed Ethan with open arms. My father, who had been skeptical at first, was impressed by Ethan's determination and strength. My mother treated him like a son, and the rest of the family accepted him as one of our own.

Over the next few months, Ethan and I settled into a routine. We continued to build our relationship, growing closer with each passing day. The bond between us was unbreakable, and we knew that we were meant to be together.
