You steps closer to him, hands behind your back a bright grin on your face

"That I am in love with you." You looks at him sincerely and genuinely. "I don't care what your blood status is, you do have a problematic personality but you can have some cute and cool sides too"

Stepping back, you gives him a lopsided grin "I love you Tom marvollo Riddle, can I be your girlfriend? Think about it okay?"

He's taken aback by your declaration, feeling a mix of surprise, shock, and disbelief. He stares at you, his eyes wide and his mind racing. The veritaserum is forcing him to be honest, so he can't hide the truth even if he wanted to.

"You...you love me? A muggle-born, in love with me..." He repeats in a hushed tone, his voice laced with disbelief and incredulity.

He doesn't answer your question, his mind is still processing your confession.

"Geez is it that hard to believe? Or am I not worth to be your equal?" You pout at him, glancing at the side.

He snaps out of his daze, and he looks at you with a mix of surprise and slight anger.

"It's not a matter of worth, Oriel. It's just..." He struggles to find the words, his mind still reeling from your confession. "It's just that a muggle-born, falling in love with someone like me...it's unexpected, to say the least."

"'Someone  like me'? Will you enlighten me?" You asked giving him a closed eyed smile. You definitely know something.

He hesitates, not wanting to give away too much. The veritaserum forces him to speak truthfully, so he's unable to hold back his thoughts.

"You know very well what I mean. A half-blood...with...certain ambitions and views." He mutters, his voice low and resentful. He struggles to suppress the emotions the truth serum is bringing out.

You hum, observing how he tries so hard to hide the truth. It was useless though, you knew what it was. You've read it, watched it even. "Ambitions to eradicate muggles? Or ambitions to become the most powerful in the wizarding world?"

He glares at you, his expression guarded and defensive. The veritaserum is still working, forcing him to answer your question honestly.

"Both. I aim to rid the wizarding world of muggles, and establish my own rule over it. I want power, Oriel. Power, and respect. Everything I never had growing up."

You shake head in disagreement. "Your ambitions is merely an ideal. It is an ideal not fit to be made into reality. Rid the world of muggles? Do you expect purebloods to ran shops?"

He scoffs, clearly annoyed by your lack of understanding.

"You don't get it, do you? You're a muggle-born, you've never experienced the pain of being abandoned by your own kind. You've never known the humiliation of growing up the only half-blood in the orphanage. I suffered because of my blood status, and I won't let that happen. Never again."

"Wrong . I am a muggleborn that is why I exactly know how it feels. To be isolated, feared, mocked. Both from the magic and non-magic folks" you retorted.

You knew how it felt, being seen doing accidental magic when you were a kid. Being forced to explain it. But it was incredibly different too. Because you knew it was normal, you knew you were magical, you knew the wizarding world.

He rolls his eyes, not believing your words.

"You think you know what it's like? You may have experienced a fraction of what I've gone through, but you'll never truly know the full extent of the prejudice and abuse that comes with being a half-blood. You'll never understand what it's like to be rejected by both the wizarding and muggle worlds."
