Douxie's Proclamation

The story begins in the city known as Metro City, in this city, the prince of the Dark Isles and his siblings live with the city's defender. And in a few weeks, he's going to form an alliance with the city. His name is Hisirdoux Casperan or 'Douxie' for short

Now Douxie is one of the adopted children of the city's defender, Megamind, and as a part of the alliance he has an idea that can help other villains redeem themselves before they become evil.

"Man, I'm so nervous." Douxie said as he paced around his room. "What if Megamind doesn't like the idea? What if he doesn't want to form an alliance after all?"

"Doux, calm down everything's going to work out." Said a black cat with glasses. His name is Archie, Douxie's familiar. "Megamind will love the idea."

"But we're not exactly close." Douxie' said honestly. "At least not as close as he is with Nora. She practically calls him dad."

"Still, he'll love the idea." Archie reassured. "I promise you that."

"You know what? You're right." Douxie said with a confident smile. "I'm going to go in there and prove that my plan will work! It has too."

When Douxie said that, he looked out to an island and gave a sad sigh. "For my sister. . .and of course all the other VK's on that island."

"Right. . ." Was all Archie said before Douxie walked through the secret entrance to Megamind's lair.

"Uhh, hello? Megamind?" Douxie called out. "I'm here to discuss my plan, is anyone home?"

"Ah, Hisirdoux it's about time you showed up." A voice said from behind. When Douxie turned around he saw none other than Megamind walking up to him. "I'm so excited to be allied with your kingdom, you have no idea."

"That's great and all, but before that there's actually something I wasn't to discuss with you." Douxie explained. "For starters, I'm going to open up a program at Metro City Academy and I'm needing your approval."

"Okay then, shoot." Megamind said. "what's your idea?"

"I'm wanting to open a program to help the kids on the isle of the lost." Douxie said honestly. "A program that allows the kids to redeem themselves before they even get the chance to become villains."

Megamind was stunned for a moment when he heard the idea since he didn't know how he felt about it.

"Please, I mean, you were given a second chance." Douxie stated as a matter of factly. "I've already chosen the first few."

"I. . .I don't know if I want to take that risk." Megamind said honestly with a sigh. "They were sent to the Isle for a reason."

"Just hear me out for a second." Douxie pleaded.

"Okay, fine." Megamind sighed in defeat. "You have 5 minutes."

"Okay, I've got a lot to get through and not a lot of time, and I feel like you weren't hearing me before. So here it goes." Douxie said as he took a deep breath before music started to play and he began to sing.

Douxie: "I know all the villains
Are out of control
It's a bad situation
It's taking a toll
If we give their kids a chance
And redeem them all
Here in Metro City!
Wait, I'm getting ahead of myself!
Right! The chosen ones!
I know a few kids
that could use the help
Cause it must be annoying
To be stuck on the crummy island
If they join you in Metro City
The worry disappears!
They can wave that life farewell
It'll be a happy day in Me-"

Megamind: "Let me stop
you right there save
us both precious time
These are villain kids
Do you think they
have a chance
Of redemption
Oh, they'd rather
cross the Pearly Gates?"

Douxie: "Well, uh"

Megamind: "Sorry, boy
But there's no
defyin' their fates!
'Cause the isle is forever
Whether you
like it or not
Had their chance
to behave better
Now they pay the price
'Cause the rules
are black and white
There's no use in
tryin' to fight it
They'll be lost
for their lives
Until we defeat 'em again!"

Douxie: "Okay, but-"

Megamind: "Just try to chillax, Doux
You're wasting your breath
Did I hear you imply
That they deserve a
second chance?
Are they heroes?
Are they villains?
'Cause it's cut and dry?"

Douxie: "Well, actually,
if you take a look-"

Megamind: "Fair is fair,
an eye for an eye!
And when all's said and done
There's the question of fun
And for those of us
with heroic Ordainment
Villains are for pure
entertainment!

The Isle is forever
Whether you like it or not
Had their chance to behave better
Now they pay the price

the determination

"What?" Douxie asked in shock and horror.

Megamind: "Can't risk the
villains escape, to
seek their revenge
I know it's hard to understand
But it's for the best"

"Um, wait, didn't you?" Douxie started to ask before fixing his question. "Didn't Roxanne give you a second chance?"

The music and singing stopped as Megamind realized that Douxie was right. Roxanne did give him a second chance and it wasn't right for the children to be punished for crimes their parents committed. "I guess. . .you're right." He sighed. "I'll let you bring a few VKs over just as a test run."

"F*ck yes!" Douxie exclaimed, causing Megamind to raise an eyebrow before Douxie realized what he said. "Uh, I mean, that's great. Thank you so much, Megamind."

"Yeah, whatever." Megamind said. "Now who are their parents?"

"Daybreaker, Yayoi Kusakabe, The fallen Arch Angel Michael. . ." Douxie explained, but before saying the final name he had to pause for a moment. He wasn't sure of the reaction he'd get but he knew this kid needed help especially. ". . .And finally. . .Arravos."

"Arravos?! He is the worst villain in the land!" Megamind said seriously and a little bit of anger. "Sorry, but his child is no doubt already brain washed by him. Not gonna happen."

"But their children are innocent! Don't you think they deserve a shot at a normal life?" Douxie asked as tears started to form in his eyes. "Don't you think. . . Light-bulb deserves a shot at a normal life once again?"

Megamind gasped when he heard that as he knew exactly who he was referring too. She was someone close to both Megamind and Douxie and she was sent to the isle as a mistake.

However, the people of Metro City wanted it, so Megamind didn't have a choice but to send her. "I. . .I suppose the children are innocent." Was all he was able to say before giving Douxie a small smile and walking away.

Once he was gone, Douxie looked out from the observatory to the island and took a deep breath. "Anyone can change. . ."
